Agree Baz the whole premise of the original show is long gone alas. The diary room was always a place to go and nothing there would be revealed. The show now is all about lining up arguments etc.Folk on DS stating the same.

Indeed.

I liked the sanctuary aspect of the DR - it let you know how a HM really felt about the others...without ALWAYS having to cause a row etc.

Mind you, I also like a good row

Actually, she has a point in this case: as Chloe pointed out earlier, he's made absolutely no attempt to learn anything about his other HMs.

But is there any need?  It's a gameshow; he's playing it as that.....does anything else really matter apart from the game itself?

Makes for a good reason to character assassinate him though (if any were needed)

yes, but when it comes to tasks (is that what she was talking about)  he's the first to say 'let's just do it'

they've just overplayed it - it used to be a rare thing (and good viewing) when they played anything from the diary room into the house - but it's been years since it lost its impact.

Well, yes, because it's a gameshow about relationships and getting on together (or not), and virtually all of the tasks this year about what HMs know and say about each-other.

To be perfectly honest, if it were on at 10pm again tonight I was not going to watch.

I'm tired tonight, and this lot are sending me to sleep.

I'm only half watching. Spending more time writing to mates about:

Christopher Lee

Ornette Coleman

James Last

Ron Moody

Hopefully the twist will prevent what looks like her early demise.

I'm not confident of that, I'm afraid.

I'm expecting Marc will be in the bunker, and he will use the opportunity to set her up for eviction next Friday.

My only hope is that the rumours that all his "celebrity" fellow bunker-mates will be female is true, and they'll rip the misogynistic little toe-rag to shreds!
