I actually wanted Chris to win, and wouldn't have minded if Ash won. Once it was between Ashleigh, Christopher and Helen I wanted Helen. If that means I can amuse myself and laugh at the irony of her detractors spouting the same kind of aggressive, nasty, self righteous, judgemental rubbish as she did that's my prerogative

Absolutely, im not defending Rooney...but Helen was the one selling her story about her and him in the press, that's what could have destroyed the marriage.

Yes the show is trashy, but we (the GBP) could have risen this show above that.

I worry about the direction this country is going...maybe im over doing this but that's my fear.

Someone mentioned the odds were over a 100/1 for Helen, at one stage.

I don't think it's helpful to base your view of the state of the nation on  a c5 reality show.

I don't know if this is true but someone just tweeted me that a BB executive producer is head of a BB Helen fan club...might not be true, might not make any difference if it was true...but it does cloud this result.

I do get the irony, but this show does (in a small way) sum up the attitudes that this country does have, the direction this country is going in.

BB is a "reality TV show" after all.

I think part of the problem is that only see her in one dimension, if you reign in your knee jerk reaction to her, I think you'll find she has other facets to her character, she has humour, can be self effacing,  she is loyal to her friends,there may be more to her, but hard to know from this type of tv show.

And of course she has all those bad traits as well, but is being  gobby,bitchy always right, really so bad?

She slept with men who were married, says way more about those men, she was paid for it,it's her body she can do as she likes with it.

Yes, I get your point, but then again, she's a free agent and much as it pains me, is at liberty to sell her story (should any gutter rag wish to promote it).  

She owes Rooney no loyalty though.  He, on the other hand, owes his wife & family something which he cannot afford.

Can she not just enjoy this and leave other HMs alone .

We, if we were ever a great British public, should have switched off before Day 2.  To watch the show is to condone it.  I'm guilty, we all are.

My "knee jerk reaction"?  I've had 10 weeks of watching her and seeing her behaviour...hardly "knee jerk".

For the last time for the hard of understanding, im not justifying what the married men did, but she was the one who offered her "services", she could and should have kept anything that went on in the bedroom to herself, not blabbed to the tabloids for money...she ruined a lot of peoples lives...most of them innocent ones.

I didn't see her humour TBH, just loud mouth aggression and nastiness...if anyone disagreed with her she'd call them names and be abusive to them...she'd shout over anyone with differing opinions to her.

She was and no doubt still is a horrible person...the BB warnings she got would have got other HM's booted out (and has done in the past), she was helped by the BB producers, editors and the BBBOTS "Helen is on a journey" fan club...they all influenced and conned the GBP.

You  do have a knee jerk reaction, logically you have to know that no one, not even Helen, is one dimensional, it's easier to hate her if you confine  her in that space  marked'nasty, vile' and nothing else, but it  will never make it true.
