Day 55 round-up: the noms fall-out continues to fall

After yesterday's explosive friends and family nom bomb, things got a little frosty in the House, namely between former-BFFs Charlie and Hazel. Day dawned, and Charlie appeared to have gained some post-argument clarity in the night. Hazel had no time for Charlie, as she unequivocally told Gina.

Perhaps to break up the tension in the House, Big Brother set Hazel and Jack a little task. It was a secret task but, you guessed it, their housemates were in on it all along. The concept of trust was on everyone's mind, and Gina took it upon herself to chat to Sam about it. The Welsh wonder then had a lovely (and awkward) hug with his erstwhile nemesis Sophie, clearly he was in a hands-on mood, having previously given Charlie a shoulder to cry on.

As the evening wore on, Dexter offered his opinion on'narcissistic' Hazel, and Gina had an abrupt about-face andswitched her alliance to Charlie. Interesting.

As a reward for passing the task, Big Brother gave the housemates a lovely Ruby Murray (that's curry to all you non-Cockneys) and they had an evening full of fun and frolics. Though Charlie and Hazel still hadn't made up, it was a nice way to finish a Tuesday, don'tcha think?

Day 55: Busy bees - it's task time!

This week's shopping task is going to be a bit of a buzz – but that doesn't necessarily mean they're all going to have lots of fun. The Big Brother House has been turned into a busy working beehive – and as we all know, bees work very hard to ensure there's enough honey for their Queen.

One HM is set to become the Queen Bee, becoming head of the hive and reigning over the task. She'll watch her hive from the lap of luxury and make all the big decisions. Our Queen will pick one person to become her Guard Bee – the muscle that keeps the hive moving and enforces all the decisions –leaving the rest of the gang as Workers.

Workers will live a tough life, with scheduled breaks and basic rations. On top of that, they'll be wearing shock pads so that, should they fall out of line, the Queen can dish out some instant punishment. BUZZ!

Over the next two days, Big Brother's going to be ordering honey. A target amount of honey jars will have to be produced by our drones at the end of the shift - but Big Brother will also state to the Queen that they'll be given treats in exchange for any extra honey jars that are produced. This will be a secret from the Worker Bees, so it's at the Queen and Workers’ discretion how hard the Workers will work.

The first day of this sticky task is going to see HMs working all the hours god sends at BB's Honey Producing Plant. One Worker Bee will stand on a platform filled with sticky honey while the rest will walk in circles, leaning on a bar that stirs the honey and pushes it out through taps further along the assembly line. Other Worker Bees will stand next to conveyor belt waiting to scoop up all that good stuff. It's going to be a nectar festival, if only our pals can keep their spirits up.

Let's hope housemates keep their stings in order and don't bumble around too much!

No honey = no money.

MrsH

10.52am: Can you guess who the Queen bee is?

11.04am: Our worker bees are sitting in the living area while their buzz pads are tested. There's a lot of squealing going on

11.27am: All hail Gina, Queen bee of the Big Brother hive.

Day 56: Housemates are stung by the Busy Bees task

The majority of housemates aren't having the greatest day of their Big Brother experience. The Busy Bees task has them all – aside from Charlie and Queen Bee Gina – working like drones in the garden, producing an absurd amount of honey in the hope of generating some funds for the weekly shopping budget. Reactions to all the slog are mixed. Obviously Gina's enjoying herself. She's even been inspired in terms of interior decoration. "I love the throne," she said. "I want one for my house."

Sophie's relatively okay with proceedings, mainly because she's been tasked with attending to the Queen's every need – tweezing the monarch's eyebrows, applying her makeup and making sure she sits on her golden pillow all day (the best way to protect the royal sting).

The twins, despite sighing a lot, remain upbeat. Joe even remarked that he'd rather be in the garden doing something than lounging all day, though his frequent envious looks over at Her Majesty tend to belie his point. Still, the pair are cracking on with the task, as is Dexter, whose only concern is that the gloop he's having to walk in might give him "trench-foot".

Probably the most vocal of all is Hazel, who's complained about her treatment from the get-go. From the length of time the buzzer pads get pressed, sending electric shocks to her behind, to the porridge rations served up at lunch, Hazel's complained about it all, turning the air blue as she does so. "This better not be a two-day task" she mumbled, spooning another heavy glob of porridge into her bowl.

So far, Sam hasn't been heard to complain. Indeed, the Welsh boy even led his fellow workers in a song. "Busy bees are happy bees. We love our Queen," he sang, with everyone joining in to raise spirits. That's the way, housemates. It could bee far worse.

Charlie Travers teams up with Dexter Koh against Hazel O'Sullivan

big-brother-2013-noms-row-02

Charlie Travers finds support in Dexter Koh on tonight’s Big Brother highlights.

Charlie is seen venting to Dexter about her feelings towards Hazel after lastnight’s argument.

“Dexter, I cannot tell you so many things that I am annoyed about. I never ever want to speak to Hazel ever again. I feel so strongly about it,” she tells him.

Dexter replies: “You feel the same way about her as I did about Callum. The thing is it takes so much more energy to hate somebody than it does to get on with them. To survive in anenvironment like this it is about understanding different characters.”

Charlie adds: “I looked her in the eye last night and she did not care two s**ts about how I was feeling.”

Dexter says: “That’s because there is nothing behind the eyes…You have learnt what you need to learn now. She is mentally tough. Used to going out and getting what she wants in life by any means necessary.”

Charlie also gets support from Sam, telling him: “If someone regardless of what they thought they heard…if I saw someone with the entire house swarming on them…I would step in to Hazel even if her friend had just nominated me…and that’s where I knew last night I knew bam friendship over…I watched her through different eyes last night.”

Sam advises: “Charlie. I believe you I do. I know it’s easy for me to say, but you have to be strong now. Try and enjoy your time in here. I am not going to turn against you…Hazel is the strong one; I wouldn’t want to have an argument with her. She is on it…Macho as well.”

Big Brother 2013 airs tonight at 9PM on Channel 5.

Gina Rio brands Charlie Travers "stupid, dumb and very immature"

BB_GinaAndCharlie
  •

Gina Rio goes on the attack against Charlie Travers in tonight’s Big Brother, before later turning on Hazel O’Sullivan.

Speaking in the Diary Room, Gina says of Charlie: “I have always thought she was stupid, dumb and very immature for her age.

“I don’t hate her. I don’t dislike her. I just think she is manipulative and she is a game player. Exactly what my boyfriend said. He is on the outside watching and for him to call her a game player she is 1000% playing a game.”

Meanwhile, Hazel is by the pool telling the twins of her row with Charlie: “It’s not that the wholehouse is turning against her, it’s that each individual person has grown issue with what is going on.

“I didn’t decide over night to turn into a complete b***h…I didn’t create anything. If you don’t think I am trustworthy then stop licking my f***ing a**e.”

Hazel rants: “Get the f**k out of my face, go be friends with someone else…it’s not a f**king relationship.”

Later on however and Gina is seen bitching about Hazel with Charlie and Dexter.

She says of the Irish model: “I am going to stay civil with her but I have had enough.”

Big Brother 2013 airs tonight at 9PM on Channel 5.

 Day 55 highlights and recap

BB_Dexter
  •

Day 55 in the Big Brother housesaw the aftermath and Charlie and Hazel’s row.

Charlie tells Sophie she has had a good conversation with Dexter and now needs to toughen up, things are clearer in her head.

Hazel is turning the wheel for Joe’s shower. Joe is talking about the friends and family nominations and the comments made by Charlie’s friend. He says he cannot change in the last two weeks just because of one person’s comments. He is still in the house and so the public must like him.

Joe is in the shower and Hazel says that Sophie’s (Charlie’s friend) comments last night have screwed Charlie.

Hazel tells Dexter that she thinks Charlie is playing a game and she doesn’t trust her, however realistically it will not affect her life on the outside.

Sam tells Gina that he trusts Charlie and she doesn’t have a bad bone in her body. He is not going to allow Hazel to twist things against her. Gina is confused but will not let Charlie feel isolated.

Sophie and Gina are in the bedroom talking about Charlie and Hazel. Sophie said it is for them to decide who to believe. Gina doesn’t care.

Jack and Joe are in the pool. Charlie is apologising for the comments made by her friend Sophie and her side of the story. Hazel butts into the conversation saying that things should not be dragged out, there are 13 days left and after that you don’t have to see people you don’t like.

The housemate commentary takes place and the house are listening in to Jack and Hazel’s sometimes b***hy narration of their fake activities.

Gina apologises to Charlie for not trusting her and says that she will trust her instincts from now on instead of listening to other’s opinions.

Dexter is in the diary room talking about his loyalty to Charlie. He feels Hazel is manipulative and narcissistic and people are starting to realise this.

Housemates are letting off steam with music and alcohol, their reward for passing the task earlier that day. Dancing partners Charlie and Gina seem to be getting on well.

Hazel is on the sofas with Sam, giving him dating advice.

Charlie is in the diary room telling Big Brother that she feels screwed over, she didn’t want to believe other people about Hazel’s behaviour but now things are different and she feels better knowing the truth.

Hazel is talking to Gina, Charlie, Sophie and Dexter on the smoking bench, Hazel is saying that loyalty doesn’t matter in the house, it doesn’t matter if you have been b***hing or if you don’t like people now because they are on the last 13 days. It’s up to the public to decide who they like.

Big Brother 2013 airs tonight at 9PM on Channel 5.
