Day 42: The Right Answer task continues

The Right Answer task continues today, with the housemates attempting to win a luxury budget by correctly guessing the answer to a series of questions. But, as we revealed yesterday, there’s a twist - those answers have been decided by you, via our online poll.

So far today we've seen Hazel get gunged, after you picked her as the person you'd like to be on the receiving end of a gloopy morning shower. She took to the gunging in the same manner as the pig's nose pastry and snake outfit challenge - like a trooper, but we have a feeling she's beginning to draw a line on this task. There's only so much grimness one girl can take.

Hazel isn't the only housemate in the firing line today, however, as Big Brother has some cheeky 'treats' lined up for a selected few. Dan will face a chilli conundrum, there'll be more riddles in store for Sophie,  an ex-housemate wills be calling in for a chinwag and Dexter will be given the appropriate tools to seduce one lucky housemate. Or unlucky housemate, whichever way you want to look at it.

It promises to be an interesting day. Do stick with us for the latest task update.

Gina Rio's boyfriend insists she is really, really, REALLY rich

GINA RIO [Big Brother 2013)
  •

Gina Rio’s boyfriend has insisted that the Big Brother UK housemate really is rich.

Questions over Gina’s claim to being a ÂĢ10,000 central London socialite has been called to question, with pals branding her a wannabe singer who drives a “clapped out Peugeot” and lives in a council flat.

But her boyfriend, Edwin Newton, insisted that she really does have the money.

And he claimed that in reality, Gina gets even more money then she lets on.

“The truth is ÂĢ10,000 is the lower scale of what she receives. We will go to Harrods and spend ÂĢ10,000 in a day,” be boasted.

The rapper (of sorts) bragged this week: “But don’t get me wrong, she’s a very generous girl and is always finding someone or something to help.

“The story about that council flat made me laugh. Gina has a place in King’s Cross that was being renovated and I stayed with Gina at The Savoy for five months. That story is pathetic! it’s all rubbish.”

In an interview with new! magazine, Edwin also revealed that Gina enjoys the “best of life” and even gave him a ÂĢ13,000 designer watch as a present.

“She likes the best of life. She gets everything she deserves. She’s a princess and I treat herlike one. It keeps me on my toes,” he said.

But Edwin refused to speak about just where all the cash comes from.

“They are a very private family so i don’t think it’s my place to discuss them,” he said.

Recently, some fans with balls have showed they're not afraid.
Repeated tries have caused the cries to piss on your parade.
It's work for us, a laugh for some. “It's just a bit of fun”.
The chances now to get one in have dropped from slim to none.
They won't go in. You will not win. For this I beg your pardon.
Cos now there is a giant net that's stretched across the garden."

 Day 42: Hey big spenders

The housemates are feeling pretty pleased with themselves right. Charlie scored ÂĢ100 towards the shopping budget by rapping spectacularly about Dexter and first thing this morning Hazel took one for the team, earning a gunging and cold hard cash in the process. Dan's done his part too, successfully chomping four super hot chillis – meaning the total is now more than ÂĢ700.

Their potential new found wealth has caused the housemates' conversation to turn to what they should buy this week. One suggestion has been allowing each housemate to spend ÂĢ30 on luxury items.

Hazel would like some nails – if the shopping list would allow it. She is convinced she will be leaving this Friday and wants to make sure her talons are in tip-top shape.

Sam would like his own eggs, "so I can make all the omelettes I want," he said. Living the dream.

Callum was equally ambitious. He said he's like some juice or something. He added, "If we get a carton of pineapple juice I might only get one glass but if I had my own one I would get a second."

Oh what a banquet our housemates will have! But do they really think big Brother is going to make it that easy for them? They still have three more challenges and the all important end game where anything could happen! Don't go anywhere.

No surprise that Callum's befriended the youngest/most vulnerable HM, Sam. He needs to be needed and no one else is buying into it

Each series there is a HM I want to counsel psychologically more than any others. Complex Callum is my man! #bbuk

just to recap from the article exactly how this is going to work

At the end of Day 2, the amount of money that the housemates have accumulated over the two days becomes a countdown in a final game.

The housemates will be tasked with putting themselves into the order of who they think should win the show according to the viewers.

The money on the Totaliser will count down while they make their decision and they will win however much is left on the Totaliser when they finally solve the correct line-up.

So, how self-aware are the housemates? And will they be able to second-guess the public?

Day 42: Sallie and Wolfy talk to the House

"Hi Big Brother, this is Sallie Axl, This is my message to Dan the man... you're doing good but you need to stop with the conspiracy theories. You need to chill out, calm down and be the true self that I know you are. You are lovely. Chill out and you'll do really well."

BEEP

"Hey Big Brother, it's me, Wolfy. Why do you never answer the phone when I call? Still lova ya. Just got a quick message for Dexter. Dexter babe, what's going on? I think you should stick to your original game plan. The love triangle is really not working for you. That's all."

BEEP

Talk about blasts from the past, eh?

These two voicemails were played as part of The Right Answer task. The challenge came as housemates had to guess who each of the messages was for before getting the chance to listen to them. ÂĢ50 was the reward for each right answer.

After two rounds of voting, housemates got 2/2 wrong, sending Hazel in place of Dan and Callum in place of Dexter to listen at BB's bling phone.

They do say words are cheap. In this case they were worth nothing.

Day 42: Task resolve- The Answer is...

This week's shopping task was the product of a gargantuan poll filled out by nearly 10,000 of you, our lovely viewers. In it, you decided who you'd like Callum to perform a lap dance for, who you'd like to see GUNGED, who Dexter should date and which of the twins was Westlifer Shane Filan's fave.

So, before we give you a rundown of the rather sinisterly titled end game of the task, let's have a round of applause for you, if you filled in the poll that helped us shape one of our favourite shopping tasks of this series so far. And if you didn't vote, that's OK too; just keep your eyes peeled from now on, for other ways to get involved.

Now, on to the task! The housemates were corralled into the task room to be welcomed by a platform with places numbered 1-9, and told that they must place themselves in the order that they thought the public had voted them in, regarding who should win. They were also told that the shopping budget stood at a whopping ÂĢ910!

What followed could charitably be described as utter chaos, as the housemates milled around, pushing each other from pillar to post, while the countdown ticked off the pennies. They really did take their time, and perhaps it was Dan's steadfast appearance in place 3 (rather than place 5) and the other housemates' seeming refusal to pop Dexter into place 3 (keeping him right down in places 7, 8 and even 9) 'til the very end that meant they ended up losing quite a bit of the budget.

You see, they managed to whittle down their luxury ÂĢ910 budget to a pretty paltry ÂĢ76. Oh dear, housemates. Oh dear
