Day 41: The hoedown

Big Brother has decided to play to the housemates' 'strengths' with the second part of today’s Gold Rush Task. They are having a 'hoedown'.

The three teams have been challenged to choreograph an original dance to be performed with a live ukulele band as accompaniment.

Points will be awarded for creativity, great character, expressions and great enthusiasm. The Sheriff and Deputy will pick the winners.

The task was greeted with cheers and whoops, particularly from Luke S who shouted, "This will be sick." Perhaps he sees this as a chance to redeem himself for his poor performance earlier.

So far our money is on The Really Ugly – Becky, Luke A and Lauren - who have us in stitches but it is still anyone's game.

We are just gutted Lydia can’t be here to show them all how it’s done.

6.27pm: The Good are frantically going over their steps in the bedroom. Are Scott and Sara getting last minute nerves?

6.34pm: There's a full ukelele band setting up in the living area. We cannot hide our excitement.

6.45pm: Hoe down is in full swing. Ah, the sound of ukeleles and a kazoo - y'all better dance good now y'hear!

I feel the same. Luke really loves himself. Gawd know what he sees in the mirror, he reminds me of a pig.

Can`t wait see Calendar Boy cringe on the HL show tonight

And you`re welcome Rose

Day 41: Two-step prep

Bum-slapping and heel-tapping is the order of the day in the House, as the housemates prepare for their forthcoming hoedown.

So far we've spotted some mighty impressive forward rolls and a not-so-impressive attempt at 'the worm' from Luke S, as the Good, the Bad and the Really Ugly practiced their moves in various spots around the House.

The soundtrack for the dance-off is Johnny Cash's Ring of Fire â€“ not Steps' 5, 6, 7, 8 as we'd hoped – and it's up to the Sheriff (Conor) and his Deputy (Caroline) to decide who they're going to send down, down, down into the burning flames of defeat.
