4.30pm: "I didn't want to celebrate in front of them," says Scott tucked up in the bedroom again. "Whoop," adds Becky

4.32pm: Celebratory apples all round. Some serious grins too. Deana is particularly pleased with their task fail/win

4.36pm: Luke A wonders if their task fail/win means they'll get a beer, practically salvating. Another apple to quench the thirst?

Day 34: Both floating and sinking

You might have noticed Caroline's explanation for why she'd glared at Sara for the entirety of Day 32. On the night that Arron got himself evicted from the Big Brother House, Sara broke down in tears after suffering a little playground behaviour from Caroline. The two of them eventually met up in the garden to discuss exactly what her problem was.

'It's because I'm getting so fat in this House - and when I get fat I turn into a super-bitch' she told Sara, letting us all know that she's fully aware she can be catty behind people's backs, and offering us a reason as to why she might sometimes get that way. Whether we choose to accept her explanation is obviously down to us individually, but at least she came up with a reason.

It could be a get-out clause or it could be the real deal. But whether you find Caroline's sniping and back-stabbing overwhelmingly irritating or simply an amusing aspect of her often comical persona, it's hard to deny there's a wealth of intelligence lurking somewhere under the mad frizz of her hairdo. Arguably it's trapped behind a mouth that emits noise but rarely passes it through a filter, but it's there all the same.

This spark of potential genius, sadly, often reveals itself in the form of gossip and insults. Her constant referring to Lauren as 'wooden spoon' is certainly unkind, but it's hard to deny that it is, at least, kind of clever. A wooden spoon floats and stirs, which is what Caroline perceived Lauren does best, whether it was an accurate nickname or not. If she's not the best at reading people, she's at least quite good with wordplay. In that example at least. Unfortunately, elsewhere, Caroline's loose tongue and lack of a filter made her the subject of a formal warning.

As it stands, Caroline finds herself in a strange position. Almost a Floater, she's deeply distrusted by the Outsiders and, when it comes to the Insiders, seems a little like a hanger on. In recent days she's lost her friend Scott, or at least is clutching his companionship by her fingernails. So she ultimately finds herself quite isolated in what's already a divided House. If she played the smart game, she'd stop the gossiping immediately and ingratiate herself firmly with each of the two camps. The problem for Caroline, however, is she may have said one word too many out of line to start that crucial process of rebuilding.

We'll be taking a look at all the housemates over the course of the series (unless they get evicted in the meantime).

Day 34: Turf Wars - Who won the Diary Room?

The results are in and we can reveal that Green team have won control of the Diary Room –though not through prevailing in the task.

The Blue Team chose Luke A and the Green Team chose Adam to represent them in the epic final of Turf Wars. The only thing that stood in their way of nomination glory was a few puzzles and a clock timer – no pressure there then.

Blue representative, Luke A, was the first to complete the task by working out that his team had nominated him four times – Shievonne twice, and Caroline and Sara one each, and that Deana was the housemate who had received the most nominations. As he reached the diary room first, he claimed the area and clinched the right to nominate for the Blue Team...

Howeverâ€Ķearlier today, naughty housemates Conor, Caroline and Ashleigh broke Big Brother rules by discussing nominations , a violation that Big Brother takes very seriously.

As a punishment their prize was quickly revoked, meaning that the right to nominate was awarded to the Green team.  Only Adam, Deana, Becky, Luke S and Scott will be able to nominate this week.

The irony of the result is that Luke A had originally decided to fail the task on purpose, so that the Green team – which consists of most of his friends, would be in control of nominations. Although he went back on his plan, he still managed to get his wish.

So which housemates are in the firing line, given that only the Green team can nominate? All will be revealed tomorrowâ€Ķ
