10.32am: Shievonne seems to have decided to sleep outside the Diary Room.

10.43am: Lauren has opened some anchovies. This is causing friction. Luke A is not happy.

10.48am: After spending all yesterday putting extensions in Lauren's hair, Shievonne is now cutting them out.

Ashleigh got the extensions

11.00am: Luke S has just said the words "cuddly wuddly" to Ashleigh.

11.02am: To those who have pointed out it was Ashleigh's extensions, not Lauren's, please award yourselves 10 points each.

Day 31: Team blues

Waking up on the floor after being banned from the bedroom, you would have thought the last thing the Blue team would want to do was bicker.

But these housemates love nothing better. And this morning it was a tin of anchovies that set them off.

There’s nothing like wasted salty fish to reveal housemates true colours. Luke A was upset at the blatant disregard for rationing and culprit Lauren worried she’d upset her friend.

Caroline and Shievonne, leapt to Lauren’s defence – quite out of character – telling her Luke A was ridiculous and not even worth worrying about.

Lauren appoligised to Luke, also revealing Shievonne had wasted food – opening a tin of rice pudding to see if she liked it – but wouldn’t own up.

Luke A who was washing up everyone’s plates at the time, told Lauren he had had enough.

He said, “If they want to be pathetic childish people let them, I’m sick of it.”

Lauren admitted she was worried about how Shievonne was behaving towards her having called her a snitch. Luke A, In full mentor mode, told her it was time to stick up for herself.

He said, “Do something about it and fight back. You are a feisty girl. You’re a strong girl. Don’t take it lying down. Be strong. Look at me. Be strong.”

Back in the bedroom Lauren confronted Shiev who responded in her characteristic riddles but we managed to untangle a few sentiments. Basically she claims she is upset with Lauren because of some old issue with cigarettes. And she thinks Lauren is isolating herself and shouldn’t hang out with her own enemy (and one-time almost love interest) Adam.

She said: “As a crew try not to isolate yourself. People aren’t going to vocalise it to you like I did. His (Adam’s) facade is slipping. The way he has been acting. I hear all this shady s**t he is saying it makes me cringe. He’s losing friends by the day”

Lauren who is easily swayed emerged from the pep talk totally confused. After all, she had basically been told she dump her bezzy mates.

She said: “He’s never done anything to me. He’s never been manipulative. Thanks for telling me. I’m not going to cut myself off from Luke A and Adam. But I’ll try and branch out.

These guys are meant to be a team. It’s only the third day of the task. Could all this bickering be the reason they are losing? If so, surely they should kiss and make up before they are limited to the living room.

Day 31: There's something about Lauren

What’s not to like about Lauren?

She looks like Kylie, she can drive a tractor and throw herself into pretty much any physical challenge, but this seemingly harmless housemate has managed to forge fewer friendships in the House than almost any other housemate.

Is it a case of the green eye-monster or is there more to the Jersey girl’s bad luck?

Lauren had already caught the boys’ attention by the end of Week 1, particularly in the case of Luke S who used her a piece of gym kit on more than one occasion.

Her spot at the top seemed set but by the end of the second week she was established as a member of The Outsiders.

The cracks started to show after Ashleigh hooked up with Luke S, meaning little Lozza was now a direct threat and that was all before the debacle with the bacon. And the cigarettes.

Lauren won’t eat sandwiches, but she’ll eat toast. She has the faddy diet of a toddler and refuses to try new foods.

And then there’s that laugh – but let’s not get personal.

But we mustn’t forget Lauren is officially the baby of the House and along with her fussy foodiness and inability to hold her own in an argument comes her youthful vitality, enthusiasm and ability to back flip like Sporty Spice.

She’s been up for eviction once, beating Benedict and showing housemates she had the public on her side – upping her threat factor significantly.

And now she is starting to fight back.

With apparently little motivation other than a desire to form a friendship with Ashleigh, Mama Shiv has chosen to disown one of her babies – Lauren.

Speaking to Luke A Lauren said: “You can’t confront her because she makes you look like the bad one. And then Ashleigh pipes up. It’s pathetic; she’s 28-years-old and picking on me”

Lauren has found an unlikely ally in Adam, and last night she revealed a bit more about herself after he told her she was good looking.

Lauren said, “Boys never tell me I’m attractive. I’m normally beating them up. Or beating them at FIFA.”

Adam who appears to be smitten with our Loz responded with, “I’d love a girlfriend that played FIFA.”

Finally persuaded by Luke A to take a stand, she confronted Shievonne who not only appeared to be fobbing her off with some historic smoking issue but also told her she had been isolating herself.

Taking Shievonne’s advice to mingle more  Lauren has been spending the late morning talking to everyone in her team, trying to find out more about them.

Could her position in the hapless Blue team give her the leg-up she needs? If she can secure them another room, could that bag her a new bunch of friends?
