Day 27: Adam and Lauren talk tactics

In the early hours, two of our Outsiders repaired to the smoking area for a catch up on how they feel the Big Brother experience is going. Lauren and Adam are rarely accused of gameplaying by their fellow housemates, but that doesn't mean they don't keep an eye on how others change their behaviour throughout the week in order to improve their chances come nominations day.

Lauren started things off by talking about her own chances, which she feels remain negligible. Adam disagreed.

'You got yourself saved' he said, referring to her eviction victory over Benedict.

'Yeah, but it's not as if Benedict helped himself, is it?' she replied.

Talk moved on to the chorus of boos Lydia received upon leaving on Friday night, which left Lauren dismayed. 'It's my biggest fear' she said, 'going out to a crowd who're booing'.

As the conversation waddled along, it came up that neither can understand why 'Sarron' (the hypothetical romance between Sara and Arron) is being pushed by the group. They discussed how they both feel Conor is a favourite to win the whole competition and, finally, they talked about Shievonne's attachment to The Insiders, which Adam thinks he has sussed.

'She just follows and does what they do. It's just her playing the game' he said, implying that her friendship with Ashleigh and Luke S is a bid to survive more than anything else.

'She's producing them' said Lauren, cryptically. A very interesting choice of word, and one that may well ring true for a lot of people. Shievonne does seem to have ingratiated herself with Luke S and Ashleigh and often seems like their promoter in many ways.

But we can't really speculate on her motivation until she tells us herself when she leaves the house. Anything else would be idle gossip, would it not?

12.06pm: Becky and Scott disapprove of several housemates saying they're looking forward to nominations tomorrow.

12.16pm: Scott's currently having has eyelashes curled. Looks as painful as the head-shave. This boy suffers for fashion.

12.29pm: Deana's opening up to Ashleigh about mistakes she feels she's made in the game so far. Lydia's name has come up.

Scotty

1.02pm: Today's task has been explained to housemates! All apart from Shievonne, who mustn't work out what's going on...

1.08pm: Becky and Scott were just continuing with their anti-Luke S feelings when who should enter? Luke S, obviously.

1.14pm: Arron reckons that he's dressed like Lara Croft today. You wish, Arron. YOU WISH.

1.16pm: Arron has now decided he's dressed like Steve Irwin. All of this because he's not used to wearing v-neck t-shirts.

Day 27: Today's task is 'The Task With No Task'9 mins ago

It's a bit of a strange one today. Though there is a task for the housemates to enjoy, there actually isn't a task. While Shievonne's distracted by Big Brother in the Diary Room, the group will receive instructions on how to behave for the rest of the afternoon until the task that isn't a task is over. And it's going to involve a whole heap of Shievonne-fooling for housemates to scoop the prize.

Throughout the day, each housemate will be called to the Small Task Room and emerge looking haggard and shaken, as though they've just suffered some hideous ordeal at the hands of Big Brother. But in actual fact, all they'll receive when they're in there will be a makeover from a special effects whizz and a wardrobe change to make it appear as though they've just had an awful time of it.

When they get back to the House, they'll be forbidden from giving specific details about what happened to them but they will be allowed to outline just how awful the experience they (supposedly) faced was.

Once all Housemates have been made over, Shievonne will be called to the Diary Room. If she wishes to enter the Small Task Room and take part in a task, the whole group will have failed (though Shievonne will receive a personal box of treats, all for herself). If she chooses not to face whatever awaits in the Small Task Room, the group will have succeeded in frightening the heck out of her and the whole House will win a luxury meal this evening (including Shievonne!)

1.19pm Arron has moved on from talking about his outfit to talking to Sara about their *relationship*. Again.

1.24pm: Sara has now told Scott and Ashleigh that she only likes Arron 'as a friend'. Surprise!

1.27pm: Sara's now moved on to speak to Shievonne about Arron. These two do love to talk about each other.

1.32pm: Ashleigh's emerged from the Diary Room covered in bright pink gunk. It's like Noel's House Party never went away.

Scotty

1.52pm: "It's not worth it. We didn't come in here to face our fears. This isn't 'I'm A Celebrity'." Shievonne is *disgusted*.

Over dramatics, irritating hand gestures and head wobble - guaranteed

1.56pm: Shievonne is concerned that her task will be facing a clown. Ahsleigh's performance seems to have convinced Shiev.

2.07pm: Ashleigh wandering out of the Diary Room a few minutes ago. Please enjoy. You're welcome.

Day 27: Scott finds his feisty face

After a peculiar wake up call, Scott's on the warpath today. The usually louche, aloof and somewhat carefree housemate was rattled by Arron's early-morning prank and has since had not one but two minor tantrums, sounding off to his new bosom buddy, Becky.

His first wedge of complaint was slapped down on Luke S's account. The newly red-headed student from Macclesfield spoke with Wildcard Becky in the garden about how disturbed he was by Luke S posing a question to Deana yesterday that clearly made our Miss India UK uncomfortable. When Luke S asked her if she'd rather a very expensive wedding or a cheap one (and take the money instead), she said she'd take the money. Apparently Luke S thinks this is solid proof that she's a gold-digger, but Scott's siding with Deana on this one and can see her point that loving someone doesn't necessarily require lavish nuptials.

Then, later on, Scott had something to say about the Arron / Sara non-romance that's been the hot topic for the past week, even though it's all apparently talk, hot air and little else. Scott sounded off about how awkward he finds the whole thing, how he wishes Arron would 'shut up about it' and Becky was quick to agree.

Was it that extravagant self-defence episode after he was rumbled for talking nominations that gave Scott this sudden new lease of life? Or maybe it was being called 'sheep' by certain housemates for the past fortnight that provoked the change. Whatever it was, we're seeing a more opinionated Scott jumping out of his own shadow - and we've decided we rather like it.
