Double degree delight

Congratulations to Sara and Scott, who found out today that they had both received a 2:1 class honours degree in Marketing and History respectively.

The pair of boffins were both visibly happy with their results, as they shared the good news with their fellow housemates.  Sarah in particular seemed overwhelmed with her efforts, as she sobbed in the arms of Ashleigh. However, she did assure the others that they were tears of happiness.

And what does Scott have in store for the future? Well there was talk of historical walking tours and lots of socialising planned. We may have a celebrity historian in our midst...

Benedict was on fire this morning. First he had a pop at Caroline for her late night nominations talk before turning his attention to Ashleigh. He definitely hit her where it hurts with the killer line "It's a shame they [Big Brother] chose you to represent Essex".

Oh.no.he.didn't.

He then went on to say how his mother was from Essex, as though this added clout to his argument. So far, 1-0 to Benedict.

After a string of expletives, which certainly didn't help her win the 'classy' case, Ashleigh retorted with "Essex is very classy, it's very glamorous. He's not even [expletive removed] half-Essex". Does this give her a point? We're not convinced.

However, she did make a good point, referring to past events: "What's he doing ... in the shower?"

Yes, fair play, doing your man things and then announcing it to the House isn't exactly the classiest of moves. Ashleigh pulled one back there. So, with the scores tied, who managed to have the last word?  We're going to give it to Benedict, although his retort wasn’t the most fierce of arguments. Still, he made us chuckle with "Sorry Essex, you've got another TOWIE copy. So not reem".

Benedict using the word 'reem'. Just a bit wrong, really.

 "Shuuuut uuuup"

The fury in his eyes. Be afraid, be very afraid.

He is brilliant

I am hoping they are moaning about the unfairness now of no nom talk  that they are up this week over the packs forming and constant nom talk - I would love something to happen to change this weeks eviction as they are both worthy of their places

Day 17: Lauren and Benedict got talent

Today's task sees nominated housemates Benedict and Lauren afforded the chance to teach the others a lesson. But not in a revenge sort of a way. We're literally being literal.

Called 'The Mentors', the task will involve the two of them selecting three housemates each. Then they'll actually teach them stuff, hopefully leaving behind a legacy of knowledge should either of them be evicted on Friday. Lauren's a black belt in karate, so she'll be teaching a few moves to a lucky trio of her contemporaries. And as we all know, Benedict used to be a teacher (and has worked more recently as an adult entertainer), so he's well placed to give the rest of the group the odd lecture or two. Whether or not sex education is the ideal topic for the seminar is another matter, mind you.

Naturally, after their 'mooooortifying' confrontation a few days ago, Caroline's one of Benedict's selections along with Sara and Scott. Taking Lauren's self-defence class will be Arron, Becky and Deana.

When lessons conclude, Big Brother will call them both to the Diary Room to let them know if they've earned their teaching stripes. A positive response means they can celebrate with drinks this evening.

Day 17: The karate kids

Lauren was given the chance to show off her skills this afternoon, sharing them with others in a one-off karate class. Take a gander at the gallery for some fine examples of martial artistry.

Stick 'em up

She's strengthening her pelvic floor muscles in this one

....And release
