1.45am: All in the bedroom. Luke S has lifted his weary head to analyse the rationale for BB getting them all to bed. Thanks Luke
1.51am: The lights are out. Big Brother said "Goodnight" over the tannoy. The HMs cooed then settled into silence
BIG Brother host Brian Dowling has branded this yearâs housemates the nastiest bunch he has ever known.
Fans will watch one of the final five crowned a winner tonight and walk away with a mega ÂĢ50,000 prize.
The contenders are beauty queen Deana Uppal, 23, ex-US gangster Adam Kelly, 27, sex-swap chef Luke Anderson, 31, Scots model Sara McLean, 22, and hunky night club promoter Luke Scrase, 24.
But BB presenter Brian, 34, claims if he had been stuck with the housemates, he would have walked out in disgust.
And he blasted this yearâs crop of reality telly stars for not apologising for their awful behaviour.
He said: âI do believe this has been the bitchiest, nastiest and most backstabbing house weâve ever had.
âThey absolutely hate one another.
âI seriously think if I had been a housemate this year I would have walked. I couldnât have lasted.â
This yearâs Channel 5 Âseries has been rocked by race and bullying rows which TV watchdogs Ofcom are investigating.
And Brian insisted one of the most shocking things is that none of the wannabes have apologised for their antics.
He said: âWhen they have come out of the house and Iâve interviewed them and shown them the footage, there is no remorse.
âI have pushed and pushed them.
âBut they just go: âHey, thatâs me. Iâm young and Iâm a bitch.â
âBut fair play to the producers. This lot did deliver the drama.â
âBut they just go: âHey, thatâs me. Iâm young and Iâm a bitch.â
And that's why they're out! the gp didn't like them!
Just watched the final VT before tonight's Eviction Finale having spent a lot of time shooting stuff for it.
Day 69 - Round up
The penultimate day in the House saw the housemates cook a last supper Sunday roast and speculate on life after BB. In the short term they are more concerned by how they will look tonight and, while Luke S is now satisfied his suit will be dry cleaned, the question of astylist to tame housemates' hair still hung in the air.
Big Brother saw fit to present our final five with a little party â cue champers and tunes.Having spent 69 days perfecting their moves, our housemates had their arms in the air, pouting and posturing through a bunch of chart classics. Even Luke S made an effort to join in.
With lips loosened by bubbly, Sara launched into a few rambling tales, including one about the Queen, before heading for bed early.
The three soldiers ended the night patting themselves on the back for their performance to date. They gave their spot in the garden some last night attentions before launching intotypical late night chat.
After a day in which no one argued, a sombre air settled over the House as the fact that this was the end of something pretty special sunk in. Today may just be another day but for Luke S, Sara, Deana, Adam and Luke A it is the day one of them walks away the winner of Big Brother 2012.
Day 70 in the Big Brother house
Final Day
Morning All
8.05am: Morning all! Well, we say 'all', but obviously the HMs are still sleeping. Well, it is Final Day! They need their energy.
8.17am: For a bit there, it looked like Adam was sucking his thumb. Bless
8.35am: Not even a stir as of yet.
8.57am: Oh a definite stir. Looks like Luke S is thrashing from side to side.
Happy First Wedding Anniversary to Luke A today
9.12am: Someone else is moving but we can't see who it is. Exciting times in the Big Brother bedroom
9.30am: The housemates are still fast asleep.
9.42am: Are the housemates dreaming of 50k? Tonight, that dream will come true for one housemate.
9.53am: The HMs are awake before the alarm - they must be excited for tonight's finale!
10.07am: Sara woke up, applied make-up in the dark and then went back to sleep
10.21am: Luke A is giving his teeth a good brushing in the bathroom.
10.30am: It is Luke A's first wedding anniversary today.
Congrats, and happy anniversary, Luke A (and Becki)!
10.40am: Sara and Luke A are getting excited for tonight. It's making us very excited also.
10.47am: "We made it", Luke S declares. Yes you did.
never felt this nervous about evicted housemates meeting again for the Final
some very nasty tweets between them last night
Conor and Bennie being the main ones
11.03am: Sara is going for the second round of make-up application. This time in the light.
11.12am: Big Brother is pumping music into the House to aid the housemates in a mammoth clean up.
11.25am: There's some good scrubbing action going on. The House will be sparkly clean in no time at all.
11.28am: Deana has been whipped up into a frenzy by Beyonce, and is cleaning like never before
11.37am: We are genuinely impressed by the cleaning prowess displayed by the HMs today. The kitchen is veritably gleaming.
Luke A and Sara rise early for a nice long chat
As the dawn broke on the housemates' final day in the House, we were surprised to see that Luke A and Sara were both up and about before Big Brother switched on the lights. Perhaps, like kids on Christmas morning, they're just too excited to sleep.
Luke A woke earliest, reading his letter from home. Today is his first wedding anniversary, so no matter where he places in the final 5, we're sure he'll feel like a winner when reunited with his wife, Becki.
Sara got up next, briefly, washed her face, put some makeup on and...went back to sleep. Interesting behaviour. She's up and about now, in the smoking area with Luke A, making predictions for tonight's Final.
Luke A compared his excitement and stress to how he felt exactly a year ago, getting ready for his wedding, when he broke a cuff-link. Let's hope tonight goes smoothly, without any wardrobe malfunctions.
With nary a mention of the prize money, Sara and Luke A have come to the conclusion that it doesn't matter what else happens, they get to see their family and friends tonight. How heart warming.
As we near the end of Big Brother, Jamie pays tribute to an amazing series in a fantastic motivational speech that will get anyone's pride gland swelling.
Big Brother's Bit on the Side have been testing the housemates' cranium capacities all series, but now its the moment you've been waiting for. It's the final round, who will snatch the prize - the boys or the girls?
11.55am: The HMs appear to have lost interest in their chores. We suppose there's only so much novelty in scrubbing dishes.
I swear I live in this train station!! I see Piccadilly more than I see my own mum!! En route to London... Here I come again!!x
@ArronLoweOffici Azza I need cheering up !! Not in good form at all!!!!

12.11pm: Luke S just said "the dancing genes in my body just don't connect to each other" Scientific.
12.17pm: Aaaaaaand they're still cleaning. Bet they anticipated a much more glamorous Final day.
give them a pamper afternoon BB and send Lee in to do the girls hair
12.25pm: BB just told the HMs that the garden is now open......for them to clean. Oh, BB, you cheeky scamp!
12.31am: Luke A, Adam and Sara have taken a quick cigarette break, while Deana and Luke S busy themselves in the lounge.
As an extra special treat Big Brother has set possibly the best task ever - clean the house. At least BB is playing some tunes for them to get down to, here's a selection of cleaning best bits set to some cleaning music. Enjoy.
Day 70: The final clean up
It's their last day in the Big Brother House, and what better way to spend it than by participating in a huge clean-up. Well, we do have new people moving in soon - we wouldn't want the new tennants to see the House the way it is...
To aid them in their cleaning mission, Big Brother has been pumping some upbeat dance tunes into the House, which has definiteyly got the housemates going. You can see a few snaps of them in action by clicking on the album attached and you can see it in video form by clicking here.
P.S. Not long until the final. We're very excited, we couldn't help dropping it in!
