Day 61: Did someone say ÂĢ50k?

Mojitos, Cosmos and Strawberry Woo Woos were on the menu this evening as Big Brother rewarded housemates with a cocktail party.

Deana managed to get housemates to raise a glass to still being in the House and for a time it seemed like any divisions in the dynamic were well and truly done with.

But this is Big Brother and before the ice had melted in Deana's celebratory cocktail, she had managed to drop a clanger.

Appearing amongst the merry party cooling off from the dancing in the garden, she revealed she may have upset Luke S. He was alone in the kitchen staring into space with an empty look in his eyes.

"I can’t believe I have upset him but I said he should have pressed the button quicker," she explained.

Why on earth would he be upset by that? Perhaps because he has been beating himself up ever since he watch Derry’s finest stroll out of The White Room clutching a case stuffed with ÂĢ50k.

Ashleigh reassured her he was over it, leaving Adam to go inside and check on Luke S. Realising her error, Ashleigh followed him and discovered he was far from done with last night's drama.

Without even pausing for breath she did one serious u-turn, saying; "Deana has a game plan. She is vicious. Don’t take any notice of her. That’s just her opinion."

Scott who’d dropped in to look for any leftover drinks disagreed, adding; "she’s not nasty at all. That’s just her sense of humour. Don’t take it personally.”

Ashleigh said someone should tell Deana she has been inappropriate. Will that someone be Ashleigh? Luke S wants to go to bed but the night is still young...

Day 61: Scott on the outside

Well, that cocktail party didn't go on for too long.

After winning the Magic Potions task and scoring themselves some lovely drinkables (with fruity mixers), our housemates may have peaked too soon. Sara turned in rather early. Deana spilt Earl Grey all over Scott's trousers and then hit the hay herself, muttering tipsy complaints ("Shortest. Party. Ever"). Meanwhile, Lushleigh confined themselves to the bedroom, opening up to one another about their pasts. Luke S is clearly working through his White Room trauma and Ashleigh's there every step of the way for him.

As the evening winds down, Adam and Luke A spent time in their usual spots, slap bang in their regular Smoking Area haunt. And with the Insiders now a dissolved collective, Scott floated out to the garden to chill with them once again. He's getting quite comfortable out there, hanging with the smokers.

Conversation rambled all over the place and featured no back-stabbing whatsoever. It turns out that where (Insiders + Outsiders + Floaters) = Bedlam, when one of those groups is removed, peace descends.  And you can't argue with that, because that's solid mathematics.

Topics covered in their not-very-laddish lads' chat swept across the spectrum. One minute they discussed how funny it feels that people who don't know them vote to save them. They wondered again if the rumour about the Olympics Opening Ceremony – that whole James Bond and the Queen thing - was true. Scott asked if Adam considered himself American or English and seemed relieved when the big man replied that his heart resides in Blighty. And, perhaps unsurprisingly considering where they are, talk turned to reality TV they have known and loved.

Now that the numbers have dwindled and the division's exploded, we're seeing individuals who previously may have felt uncomfortable jabbering together suddenly start relating to one another. It feels like Scott – the perennial floater – has been an Outsider all along. Aside, perhaps, from Luke S and Ashleigh - who are more than happy to keep the peace - it seems they're all Outsiders now.

Big Brother 2012: Luke S gay? Scott and Luke A think so!

The pair were discussing Luke S after his reaction to a hypothetical question.

“I think Luke S is gay,” Scott remarked. “Definitely. Sometimes he talks to meâ€Ķ just the way he speaks.”

“I thinkâ€Ķ there’s something,” Luke A agreed. “Your first reaction [to the question] would be ‘I’m straight’, not ‘You’e married!’”

And Luke A revealed: “Benedict said the same. He [Luke S] does pay particular attention to his appearance, the plucking of the eyebrows, the crossing of legs, the pinky out with the wineâ€Ķ

“Or maybe he’s just even Bi.”

But it seems that Luke S being gay could win him a new fan in the house.

Scott giggled: “After that though, I feel more positive towards him.”

Of course it certainly does cast even more doubt on his relationship with Ashleigh, maybe it’s more of a cover up than just a showmance for votes!
