The leg thing was blatantly for the cameras.     I'm sure Steve was cringing inside.   At the end of the day - if the winner wants to (as they all said they did except Ben) they could give the money after the show, privately.. but then again they wouldn't look so saintly would they?

No. Craig never mentioned it - IIRC,  they weren't allowed to. His family and friends did mention it in interviews etc, though.
This was why there was a lot of annoyance over Shell talking about how she needed the money in BB5 - previously, that sort of discussion had been banned.
