Interestingly in 2006 Ch4 bid ÂĢ180 million pounds for the rights to broadcast BB for a further 5 years.
Was it not during 2006 that they really started interfering with the prog. The Nikki saga as mentioned etc. Was this to try and recoup the money.

I read somewhere that this type of show has a 'shelf life' of about eight years. People have been losing interest in it for a few years now. The same thing will happen with 'The X Factor' etc, I expect. Nothing lasts forever (except, perhaps, for Bruce Forsythe)
