I'm not sure if I'm doing this right, but this is one of my favourite singers of all time, singing about homesickness when he lived in California with his group, Supertramp. Fingers crossed I have done it right. Enjoy xx
Nancy Sinatra And Lee Hazelwood always hits the spot

I love Chrissie, and that is one of my favourite Pretenders.

For you Jackson, cos I know you like this

Bloody marvellous.
Bloody marvellous.
Fracas I love two tribes, in fact I built a presentation at Uni around the 12 inch version of it.
It's a frigging classic, that's what it is.

ian drury and the blockheads, love d them, even tho momentarily i had forgotten about them.

Also a huge Ian Dury fan. In fact, I'm off to dig out a Greatest Hits CD now. Thanks for the reminder.

I know, the cheeky bastards!
Right, if you have tears, prepare to shed them now.
Every time.
We had joy, we had fun we had seasons in the sun
Goodbye Papa, It's hard to die
When all the birds are singing in the sky
Emotional porn at its very best. You could win X Factor with this.
i would think you would need a proper dead relative to sing it to though...like our gran!!
In no particular order Alkaline Trio, Nirvana, Sex Pistols, Manic Street Preachers, Jesus and Mary Chain, Green Day, Lemonheads, Foo Fighters, The Beach Boys, Bobby Darin, Etta James, Blur, Cure, Stone Roses, Rolling Stones, PJ Harvey, The Who, The Verve, Sam Cooke, Weezer...loads more. I love music.
But I listen to all kinds of rock, punk, rock n roll...loads of old stuff...I like Connie Francis and The Damned and The Buzzcocks. Don't like Jazz or Prog Rock about wizards with ten minute keyboard solos. Behave!

You old rock-chick, you....I've got fairly broad tastes too.. I've just done a quick scan through my mp3 thing, and there's bands and songs from the 60s to the 90s, folk, blues, punk, glam rock, prog, goth, classical (there's nothing quite like Wagner's Ride of the Valkyries when you're hooning down the motorway at silly speeds - not that I'd do that, of course...). Even my daughter likes some of my stuff, so it must be cool...
But no jazz, and no country & western...you have to draw the line somewhere...

Yep! And tonight I have to go to an 18th birthday party...with an EMO band playing
David and Mick
Could I just but in with the most underrated band of the 90s?
And the cutest vid ever by one of the greats - I would post Coffee and TV by Blur here but I can't embed it and Parlophone have been pretty successful in getting other versions removed. But it's great

Surely some mistake! How could you put Jazz (Eric Dolphy, Miles, n co) in the same sentence as Country, Western, and Country and Western??//??

I rather like The Frames, and especially Sickbeds from The Roads Overgrown CD. It's quite Radiohead when it gets loud.
Faves....
The Smiths
Joy Division
New Order
Stone Roses
Sisters of Mercy
Muse
ANY Motown
also like....
Bowie
Roxy Music
U2
Pink Floyd and old school soft rock like Boston and REO Speedwagon..
(for the sheer danciness)
Erasure

Their best song, with extra Cheech n Chong Kudos, is Space Invader. Especially due to the fact that she doesn't sing on it IMHYCO

I love German metal and one of my all time favourite songs would have to be Oomph with Nina Hagen (who's said to be the grandmother of punk) Fieber (Fever)
