I don't think I'd have been unhappy to receive most of those!

 What! a wonderful film.

The only other thing on the list I would have been happy with would be the Inbetweeners movie. The rest I would be asking for receipts

Oooooooooh you little tinker you ...................we know you'd love a Top Shop dress

Me too suzy ... I ordered ( and paid for!) my present from hubby, so,if I didn't like it I only have myself to blame!!

In truth, I do wonder whatever possessed my son to buy me that particular ipad case, but hey ho ... it will be a talking point!

Oh what's wrong with it Rexi? Is it vulgar or obscene? If it is, I'll have it

suzybean

Well, it's black leather. Zipped top, so a bit like an ipad shaped purse. But ... the bottom half of it, front and back is fur!!

FUR!!!

I do wonder what my children think of me sometimes!!

I know why he bought it me though. He spent a year in China and when he came back he bought me the blingiest iphone cover. It was a silver peacock with loads of fake jewels on it. I absolutely love it. He obviously thought that mother loves tacky!!

I don't really understand why changing a gift is equating to ungrateful.

You can wholeheartedly appreciate the generosity and sentiment that the gift giver has shown, and still not have any use/liking for the actual gift,as some one said before it really is the thought that counts.Exchanging the gift doesn't automatically invalidate the thought, the thought lives on regardless of what you do with the gift.

it's not if the gift is given and a receipt is offered to exchange if it isn't right. . Moaning about gifts is ungrateful..

Christmas gifts are to be treasured no matter how small ...but I had pajamas

I think most of this Is tongue in cheek ...hey you are welcome at mine anytime

Wouldn't want to see a receipt - just wrong.

I wouldn't ask for a receipt... but I've got a jumper that doesn't fit and I know where it came from, so I may try to have it changed.  While I'm at it I may choose a different style.    then again, i may just give it away cos I can't really be arsed going to the shops..

Kaffs

Hy Kaffy

have I opened a can of worms ?  didn't mean too .the jammies are still sat there ,

and I always buy larger ones for comfort ..that's all I'm saying ...never taken a thing back ever and the slippers too had them for yonks ...wish I had never mentioned the  bliddy things

New Years Eve and I don't think any thing could dampen my spirits ...like to think I will make friends not alienate people ...cos I love this site x

and IF It did offend sorry ...a New Year and I would like to think ...all opinions are welcome ...so boring If we all agreed ,but nice to know Its not Malicious

I'm crap at some things on here and fairly new so If I quote or post wrong tell me ...or explain I cannot multi Quote and it amazes me how you do It

sees you

Nah Frodo...   just chipping in with my tuppence worth to the thread.  I don't think it's particularly ungrateful to change a present, although unless it's someone really close that I know won't be offended (my sis always says - 'if you don't like it tell me, I'd rather change it so you have something you like')   I'd do it without letting the giver know - most shops change things without a receipt after Christmas, you just risk not getting the full value if it's in the sale now.  That said, I hardly ever get anything I don't like, but have changed stuff to get the right size before now.

Kaffs

Frodo, as fluffs said....the can had been opened wayyy before you posted

And it's not ungrateful at all to want to get bigger size PJ's, they're something you'll get loads of use from (if you're like me and like to wear them all day ) and I also like to go up a size so would rather change them to something that would fit.
