Good morning everyone, it's not raining at the moment, but still rain is in the forecast - again   Like you Yogi my garden is slowly turning into a swamp, I just took the binbag cover to put it back in its wheelie bin where it lives and nearly slipped over on a patch of mud, I'm fed up with it.

Anyway enough moaning, as Summer says, at least its Friday.  I've given up on Photobucket Summer, they have completely ruined the site, heaven knows why, it was working perfectly well, if it ain't broke why fix it?

Good morning, everyone. Weather is dry atm with rain forecast for later.

Squiggle, it's awful, isn't it. We actually have mud which is on the path, having been washed out of the lawn by the constant rain.

On a positive note, as Summer says, it is Friday - and I am going out to the garden centre with eldest son, then going to get my hair cut.

Have a good day everyone, see you later.

Every week on the BBC, Mark Lawrenson predicts what the football results will be for the Premier League. There is also a prediction by a guest. Sometimes they may be connected with football but often they are not. Last week he had two guests - Robert de Niro and Sylvester Stallone. This weekend's guest is Vic Reeves who claims to know less about football than anyone else in the country. Judging by his predictions I think he could be right, particularly the last one

Can you imagine what my driveway is like with 2 grandsons up and down with motorbikes all the time?  I am hoping my eldest grandson can jetwash it for me.

I just want to look at the weather forecast and see long dry periods ahead and then we can start to get everything in order again.

I had a letter from my brother today. He mentioned that it is looking unlikely that there will be anyone redeployed from his libraries to other council departments before the redundancies next March. He and everyone else now accept that redundancy is virtually inevitable.

And those are likely to be the lucky ones.

Those who remain employed will be required to attend meetings when the next round of cuts will be the focal point. The council seem to think that the council budget will be cut by a further 40% approximately in the following financial year.

I dread to think what sort of council services will be left in that council or if this will be the case across the country or just in that council but I feel sorry for those who live there.

When I was out with son today, we decided to go to McDonalds and grab something to eat (second time in one month!). Four teenage schoolboys, aged around 15/16 sat near to us. There was background music playing and the song Build me up buttercup, by The Foundations came on. One of the young lads started quietly singing along - I was surprised that someone so young would know the lyrics to such an old song but I've since found out it was covered by Busted. I was smiling and he realised I was listening to him singing. He blushed and stopped singing. I smiled at him and said "Don't stop!". He laughed and continued singing along. He brightened up a dreary day and put smiles on the faces of the other diners.

That's lovely Yogi, I still love that song - the original version of course.

We hear so many stories about rude, unruly teenagers, it's nice to have a bit of balance.

I love the original version too.

I can only imagine what kind of brain it takes to invent such a thing

Yogi does your hair feel nice?

My hair feels nice - and short!

It was almost like watching a red sun rise, until it got higher, lifted above the clouds and turned blue/white. The man in the moon appeared then

Wow, that sounds like a special moon!

Last night's moon was a huge one!
