Good question! He said he was starting a healthy eating campaign after Christmas but I'm sure he can manage a wee bit of cake.
I think you're right.
I need to start eating more healthily myself. I didn't put on any weight over Christmas but I would like to shift a few pounds.
I'm guessing your recent crohns attacks are why you haven't gained any though?
You must have been heavily pregnant throughout Xmas & new year when you carried him
For a minute, I thought your post said I must have been heavily pregnant this Christmas!
Yes, I was big the Christmas before he was born.
So what gift is he getting..?
So what gift is he getting..?
He is skint after Christmas, so he wants cash.
My BIL is 40 this year, I have 2 months to think of a decent gift
My BIL is 40 this year, I have 2 months to think of a decent gift
What sort of things does he like?
He's really easy going, doesn't have any obsession hobbies and frequently gets overlooked really
40 is a big deal though, I'm thinking of making a gingerbread house because he loved the Xmas one. I could put a bunny on the roof instead of Santa..
Oh yes, go for the gingerbread house with the bunny.
Oh- mini eggs! I could decorate with mini eggs
Good plan yogi
Well, I had better turn in. I hope your son has a lovely birthday and that you can enjoy a slice of cake to celebrate with him
Sweet dreams
Leaving hugs for moonie & skylark, come back soon ok
Mini eggs sound like a good idea.
Goodnight Summer, sweet dreams.
night yogi and summer
Good morning everyone
Some blue sky here at present but hefty showers are forecast later this morning and somewhat windy. No weather warnings in my area so it looks as if the worst of the weather is elsewhere today. Looks as if the entire western side of Britain has yellow warnings
Good morning everyone. It's raining up here.
Happy Epiphany to you too, El.
Ros, sorry I missed you, in here, last night.
Got to nip to the shops this morning before the Birthday Boy (youngest son) arrives.
Hope to see Moonie and Skylark back soon.
Have a good day all.
It rained heavily all night long, but now it's dry
Happy epiphany El I had better take my tree down tonight!
Yogi, happy birthday to your youngest son
A very Happy Birthday to Yogi's youngest son
Here is a French King cake (Southern style) for you. King cakes are made for Epiphany (re the 3 kings).
Good morning everyone, oh what beautiful pictures for Epiphany EL
What a clever idea the gingerbread house is, I love it
The boiler engineer is here (again) as my boiler is being temperamental, I know I shall have to replace it, I just hope he can coax it along until the warmer months.
Have a good day everyone.
Squiggle, I hope your bolier man can get the boiler through the rest of the winter
Good morning everyone
Just back from shopping. Very windy here. Sunny and quite warm, for winter No rain as yet
Have a great Monday
Welcome back, Moonie. I hope you're feeling better.
Oh no Squiggle, this is not the type of weather you need your boiler playing up!
I hope the engineer can get it sorted for you.
Lovely cake, El.
Thanks for son's birthday wishes, El and Summer, I shall pass them on.
Hi Yogi
I am feeling a little better fankoo
Hope you got plenty of PB top-ups A Happy Birthday to your son from me too
Squiggle, sounds like your boiler is on the way out. Lets hope it lasts until the winter is over
Sweet, I hope Mr Summer is happier now
I'm glad you are a bit better, Moonie.
I will pass on your birthday wishes to son, thank you.
I was minding PB on Saturday and topped my cuddle-o-meter to the max.

Moonie, I'm glad you are feeling a bit better today
I hope Yogi's cuddle-o-meter isn't about to burst

Glad to report there's no meter bursting around here, and I hope all is well with Squiggle's boiler.
Youngest son and his GF have visited and gone home now - taking the birthday cake with them. Moonie, I still have Christmas cake, if you would like a piece of that?
According to the weather sites, currently it's supposed to be dry here at present, or at worst light rain.
It's pouring. I'm glad I'm not having to commute home in this as it is not nice,
I am glad to know you are feeling a bit better moonie, I hope it continues.
The boiler engineer has been once and thought he'd found the problem but the radiators went off again shortly after he left he didn't charge anything and is coming back again about 9 o'clock to have another go. He is working 18 hour days at the moment he is so busy

Fankoo Squiggle
Awwww sorry about the boiler Lets hope he can sort it when he comes back later
One rich boiler engineer then
I'm no expert and these have probably already been looked at but...an airlock in the system, somewhere? Also ours kept going off a few years ago. It was put down to a blocked water overflow pipe. Also another problem we had was a blockage in the boiler fumes exhaust pipe...Like I said, probably already been looked at but food for thought. I hope you are sorted later
<- cake for Moonie.
I hope he manages to sort it when he returns, Squiggle.
Do you have alternative heaters you can use?
