My Christmas Day turned out to be most happy and enjoyable I hope yours did to my

Dinner with my sister and her son here at home. Then a Skype with two of my oldest friends where we opened out gifts from each other. What a really beautiful Christmas this turned out to be

I'm so glad things turned out well for you.

We have had a lovely day with youngest son and his lovely girlfriend, and we also had a visit from eldest son and PB.

The rest of the clan will be joining us tomorrow, for a family get together.

It's a bit foggy here at present but most of the day should be OK. Another wet night tonight but my area is outside the weather warning areas.

Summer, I think the worst of the flooding seems to be in the south east, and there's some in the south west. My area has escaped the worst of the flooding though there may be flooding on some of the minor roads.

Rain and windy here overnight, very overcast now and looks as if it will be windy all day. The worst of the present storm has missed my area as far as I know and I hope it hasn't caused problems for others.

My brother and I are having a pleasant Christmas, the M&S christmas cake is good (as I would expect) and there will be some left for my brother to take back with him on Sunday afternoon.

My pictures today are linked in a way as today is the festival of St John the Evangelist (The Gospel according to St John one, not John the Baptist).

It's very windy here, and raining too. There's rubbish flying around everywhere and recycling bins in the strangest of places

It's pretty awful here too Summer.  I hope everyone's day went well yesterday, as did ours.

 

I didn't know that EL, John is my favourite gospel and of course his later epistles.

 

I hope you can all stay in today and avoid the nasty weather, but have a great day whatever you're up to.

Squiggle, the reason why I knew today was the feast day of St John the Evangelist was because it was my turn to to the church website update for this present week. Normally we get an email with the details beforehand and it's mainly a copy and paste job on the relevant pages. This time there was no email and I had to type everyhing in. There was an extra communion today at 10 this morning because of it being a feast day. There was an extra one yesterday re St Stephen (the first martyr) and there's an extra one tomorrow because it's Holy Innocents Day.

 

I just popped out to the local Co-op to get some milk, very showery today and quite windy making it feel quite cold.

I'm home too it's the windiest drive home I've ever experienced and the traffic was horrid too- I got stuck in a queue because there was a lot of people trying to get in to mcdonalds!
