Good morning everyone, quite a nice bright morning.  Loving all the owls.  Cucumbers as christmas presents, well it would be different hard to hide the shape when wrapping I would have thought

 

Of course now that the heating engineer is booked the heating decided to work perfectly yesterday afternoon and this morning   Still there's obviously something not right so best to have him check it out.

Squiggle, I agree with you, it's best to get the heating engineer out as you don't want the heating packing up if it gets really cold.

I don't have any experience of breeding dogs but I would wait until they are weaned, before you try introducing Bramble. If the mum gets overly protective and snappy with Bramble, I'd remove Bramble and then wait until the puppies are gone, before you reunite her with her buddy.

The Carol Concert sounds lovely - I love Christmas Carols.

 

Squiggle, how typical that the boiler starts to work again, now that you have contacted the engineer. Best to get it checked out though.

Summer yes I have home cover insurance with my home insurance policy which is coming in very handy.  Durham Cathedral sounds wonderful, you get close to the true meaning of Christmas.  It's so easy to get caught up in the whole commercialisation of it that it's nice to step outside and feel the Christmas spirit.

Royal Mail and the workers' union have reached an agreement over pay and pensions which means that the threat of a postal strike in the runup to Christmas has been lifted

Moonie, my DiL said a few kids reacted to Santa in the same way as your nephew.

 

 

It's taken a year but I've finally been able to train one of my clients in how to access his tax return on the secure web portal I use for this purpose. I had to talk it through with him by phone which took about half an hour. He is very intelligent but not particularly computer literate.
