Good morning everyone, what a lovely thought Summer.  Skylark well done on showing how much you care by going to your neighbour's funeral

Cloudy and dry and a bit breezy this morning.  I am planning on staying in today as I've had an eye test and two dentist appointments this week and that's enough for anyone.

Have a good day everyone

Very Celtic sounding, El. I must admit I prefer the Elvis version to any other.

Atm, I have an Elvis CD in my car. I bought it following the programme about 20 favourite Elvis songs. My dad is a big fan and I was brought up listening to Elvis' music.

You may have seen on the news that Alan Crickmore who used to be the local coroner in my area has been sent to prison for 8 years for stealing money from the estates of deceased clients in his solcitors practice.

You can read a lot more about this on my local news website.

Although he had already been suspended by the solicitor's regulatory board, the board will now almost 100% certainly expel him as a solicitor when they meet next April.

What a despicable crime. Some people really are the pits!

Yogi, he's a disgrace to the legal profession.

In the accountancy profession, one of the more notorious cases was Mike Hoare, known as Mad Mike. Although he qualified as a chartered accountant, he became a mercenary, much involved in Africa. He was also the technical advisor for the film The Wild Geese.

He was notorious but my institute were unable to expel him for many years as he hadn't committed an offence for which he could be expelled and kept on paying his annual sub. Eventually he was imprisoned and so the institute was able to expel him.

With the Daily Star and the Daily Express news stories today of the worst winter on record lasting from later next week until March, I thought I'd post the latest long term weather forecast from the Met Office which is somewhat different.

UK Outlook for Wednesday 4 Dec 2013 to Friday 13 Dec 2013:

Much of England and Wales will be cloudy on Wednesday, with occasional rain clearing southwards. Further north, a mixture of bright spells and showers is most likely, especially in the north and northwest, with sheltered eastern parts mostly dry. Some of the showers may be wintry over hills, and it will be windy. More persistent rain will spread southwards during Thursday with further showers following from the northwest. These showers may be wintry in the south with snow possible from northern England northwards. Temperatures are likely to be around or a little below normal at first, but it may turn colder from the north on Thursday and feel colder still in the wind. Thereafter, it should gradually become more settled from the southwest with temperatures slowly recovering to nearer normal.

UK Outlook for Saturday 14 Dec 2013 to Saturday 28 Dec 2013:

There are signs that the period will start generally settled, with temperatures near average for the time of year. However, there are indications that later in December a change to more unsettled weather may develop, particularly towards the north and northwest of the UK. This would mean that the best of any drier and brighter conditions would be further south and southeast. Temperatures look to remain around normal.

Thank you El and Squiggle, youngest brother is having a happy birthday.  As you know, he has learning difficulties, and he looks forward to birthday and Christmas with childlike enthusiasm.

*twirls to show off haircut*

Angela Lansbury is certainly in good health and spirit for her age.

Mad Mike sounds like an awful person, El.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry with a little bit of pink sky.

Saw on the news this morning that a police helicopter crashed into a pub in Glasgow last night. There are still some people trapped in the building.

Summer, I'm glad you have your car back and were able to get your grocery shopping done. I love having fully stocked food cupboards and fridge. Hubby says I am hoarding, in case rationing is brought back in again - he exaggerates!

Love the owl pic. I'm the one on the second row, second from the left - the little one with blue eyes.

Elf Night is tonight!  Is Mr Summer's nephew coming this year?

Got a busy weekend ahead. Middle son and DiL are coming for dinner tonight. Youngest son and his GF may be coming for dinner tomorrow night, and eldest son, Dil and PB might pop up for a cuppa on Sunday night.

I have a fish tank to clean out before middle son, aka Fish Police, arrives today. See you later, have a good day all.

Good morning everyone

Fairly sunny here this morning.

Nice to hear from you Rosgirl Of course it's all right to pop in here whenever you want. I hope the results of the inspection are good news.

Yogi, it's horrible to hear about that helicopter crash. I hope that no-one here is or knows anyone who had been involved.

Terrible accident, El.

I missed Rosgirls's post, glad you mentioned it.

Nice to see you Ros, hope all goes well with the inspection.

Have a nice day Yogi, make sure that fish tank is spotless now   Happy Elf night Summer, you looked so nice last year, I am sure you will again.  Has your outfit survived the year well?

I agree EL, a terrible helicopter crash, always something just before Christmas

Following your example Yogi and off to have my hair cut, see you later.

Fish tank is gleaming, so should pass inspection.

Remember to give us a twirl when you get back from the hairdresser.

Evening Moonie, hope you've had a good day.

El, the fish tank passed the inspection.

Summer, hope Elf Night is fabulous fun.

Sadly, I think the fatality numbers will rise when the helicopter is lifted.

Such a random and tragic accident.

My day has been good fankoo Yogi and I see you passed the 'inspection' too

I agree about the crash too

Moonie
