Yogi, at the Summers Place Auctions there's a coelacanth with an estimate of ÂĢ1,500-ÂĢ2,500

By the way, I'm not seriously suggesting that any of you would go to the auction. I would advise against it and also don't be tempted to look at the auction catalogue on their site as most of the items being sold at the auction would upset you.

On the way to see a client this morning I saw the car in front of me veering from side to side and much of the time was moving over the centre lines so that it was partially on the other side of the road.

Either the driver was drunk or something so I made a note of the registration number. When I got to the client I rang 101 and reported this to the local police.

You did the right thing El. maybe someone ill and needing help. If they were under the influence, hopefully they will feel the full force of the law. One thing i cannot abide is drunk drivers

Moonie, it's not as cold in my area as yours and there was no ice whatsoever. It wasn't raining and it wasn't at all foggy. Either the driver was unfit to drive or there was a mechanical fault with the car. Which ever it was that driver or car should not be on the road, Luckily no vehicles were coming the other direction.

Good job you did report it

Forgotten i had left my mobile in my coat pocket, so just checked it. I had a missed call from 000. I thought eh??? Googled it, apart from its the emergency number in Australia, found out nothing. I have phoned it from the landline, and its not a number

Edit...On further looking around, seems like some marketing ploy....havent had that number before and hasnt came up on my landline

Just having received a marketing phone call I checked the number. Besides the usual sites where you can read other people's posts or make your own I noticed that there was a similar site called nuisancecalls.org.uk. However my a/v s/w shows a red warning against that site saying there was a very high risk of getting malware put on your computer if you visit that site.

Good afternoon all is well here and the main part of the floor is down, they'll be back tomorrow to do the border and edges and then mr summer will have to arrange new skirting boards. It's looking superb already though the smell is fading too so I'm extra happy.

Bramble has taken up residence on my bed and even gave me a "get out of MY room" look earlier how cheeky.

El, I hope that car reached it's destination alright and that the driver is safe. It often makes me shiver to think that my dad was driving just an hour before he died of a sudden heart attack, I'm grateful that he at least made the journey home first.

Skylark, soup sounds very good!

Evening aw ok skylark, hope you're soon back with us

Mr summer enjoyed acupuncture and is going back again, he's got some inflamed muscles in his shoulder blade & neck that certainly won't be helping with the migraines.
He LOVES the floor! I'll get you a pic tomorrow when the edges are done

Hope you're having a nice evening each

Have you both had a good day?
I've wrapped 5 Xmas gifts, it's a good start!

Apart from PBs gifts, I haven't even bought five Christmas presents!

Well done, Summer.

Had middle son and Dil to dinner tonight, and a nice natter.

If I suddenly disappear, it's because the slow-loading pages and cogs have driven me nuts.

I think she misses being downstairs, she likes to look out the windows

Yogi, I hope the cogs stop it! Was dinner nice? How are the newlyweds?

Hopefully it will soon be done and you can get back to some sort of normality Sweet

Yes, dinner was nice and the newly weds are very happy.

When we had the livingroom walls re plastered, Keira had to go upstairs for a few days - normally she isn't allowed upstairs. To start with, we had to coax her to go up but towards the end she loved it upstairs, and then we had a job to stop her toddling off upstairs every time she felt like it.

Shouldn't be long now moonie *crosses fingers* I wonder if I could get away with throwing out lots of junk we never use, on the sneak

It took a couple of weeks before she stop sneaking off upstairs. One day, we came home and there was no sign of her. Hubby hadn't shut the livingroom door properly and she'd taken herself off to middle son's room. Only problem was the door had bounced back when she head-butted it open, and closed behind her and she shut herself in. We were calling her name and could hear this quiet whine from upstairs, so we rescued her.
