Yogi, been watching Loony Tunes and now Dora the Explorer. Better get on, living room looks like a tip! See you later x

I hope the old lady is okay, her brother must be worried, poor soul.

Loony Tunes is good.

Squiggle, any update on the deer?

Yogi19

I do hope your neighbour will be OK Skylark, I missed your post earlier.  Yogi no sign of the deer today.  I don't know how she gets in, it could be the whole herd is there in the middle of the night, it's so dark I wouldn't have a clue but I reckon there's a gap in the hedge, and the fact that she ended up in the village suggests that she has gone through a garden further down the lane to get out.

Aw poor neighbour, I hope they take good care of her skylark and that she's soon back home.

Ah the old Tom & Jerry's are my favourites especially the Xmas ones. I saw a DVD available of them recently and am now wishing that I had bought it

I've rearranged our garage this morning to make way for the furniture that will need to be stored in there, we really need to throw out a lot of stuff!

You been busy Summer. hope all the work gets done to your satisfaction x
As for DVd,s, i root around the many charity shops  here for the kiddie ones. Some only a few pence, and when she gets tired of them i give them a clean and pop them back in. I will get her some new ones from Santa via Amazon

P.S Yes hope old lady will be ok in hospital, think she is 89. It will give her brother a wee rest too. He is in his 70,s and doesnt keep well.

Hi again Skylark

I did venture in but only cause I knew Bazzy had already been in

Shame about the weather but its better to be in the warmth of home

Moonie

I've dropped my brother at the railway station. A pleasant and uneventful weekend so he could recharge his batteries for the mandatory interview he has tomorrow. The position that he and his co-workers are required to be interviewed for is regarded as a bit of a poisoned chalice as it is to find, train, and organise volunteers to run those libraries which will not be run by paid staff from next April. The response to finding volunteers to date by the council has not been good and whoever gets the position will have a tough job. Although my brother does have good organisational skills and is good at giving encouragement to staff, he readily admits that he withdraws into himself when in company. And he would have a tough time in trying to build up contacts and relationships with say the local volunteer bureau.

He knows that he has to be seen to be taking this interview process seriously as he does not want the council to be able to dismiss him without any redundancy money.

On a lighter note he showed me some of his photos he took on his recent holiday in Belgium. Most of them are of limited interest but there are a couple of stand out photos. I've asked him to email them to me so that I can post them here but he doesn't expect to do it for at least a week but I think they are worth waiting for.

Skylark, I hope your neighbour is OK.

El Loro

Glad , El, your brother had a bit of time with you and the time went well. I do feel for for him and understand what you say. I feel both sadness and anger for him. It wasnt what he signed up for.Its a dreadful situation. I hope, non the less that tomorrow goes well for him and his co-workers. Believe me, i could have a good old rant, but shant.......

FM

Skylark, thanks. My brother is probably more concerned for his co-workers than himself as he does have the savings which he inherited and that with the redundancy together with the state and council pension he will eventually get when he reaches retirement age are sufficient so that he does not have the financial problems that the others would have if they can't find employment elsewhere.

El, I really do feel for your brother I bet he can't wait for it all to be settled. Is he looking forward to retiring?

My brother intends to do voluntary work if he loses his job so he intends to keep active.

Good for him El

Good for him, El. The library world's loss will be the voluntary world's gain.

Summer, I hope your garage reorganisation went well.

Moonie, are you and Summer still in hiding from Baz?

Squiggle, I hope the deer stays out of the paddock and keeps away from any hunters.

Skylark, I hope tea at nana's went okay.

Had a PB filled day with lots of cuddles, so I'm a very happy granny.

lol I can see Baz using superglue to stick you and Summer to that naughty step.

I had a lovely day and am fully topped up on cuddles. She fell asleep on my lap, so we had a snuggle.

How about a bouquet in the shape of a giraffe?

Although lamb would probably be more agreeable

Nooooo, no giraffe in any shape or form! Go with the lamb dinner.
