The WW1 war poet Frederick W Harvey who lived in Gloucestershire is best remembered for his poem Ducks (which isn't a war poem)

Yesterday, it was announced that in his former home, after his son had died, a semi-autobiographical novel of his has been discovered. The novel, entitled Will Harvey - A Romance, follows two brothers from their early days at school through to the trenches.

Although this novel was discovered in the summer, the BBC announced it yersterday presumably to tie in with Remembrance Sunday.

The novel will be published in due course.

Good morning everyone, thought I would never get on here.  Nothing to do with cogs but with loads of stuff to do as soon as I logged on, bills to pay, a reminder from Sky about a film I want to watch etc etc etc.

Well done Yogi on getting the hang of transferring the photos.  Of course its raining here as I guess it is almost everywhere.

I'm glad you had a lovely visit with your mum and your relatives Summer.

Have a great day everyone.

Good morning cold, grey and wet here. Very gloomy

My mum is currently engrossed in sorting out our cookie jar change- she absolutely loves it! I saved her the task especially we fill it all year and then use the money to do our christmas food shop

Yogi well done on learning how to transfer pics

How is everyone? Did you all enjoy the weekend?

Thank you El, Squiggle and Summer. I was delighted and shocked that I remembered how to do it, as the first time, it was pure luck that I successfully transferred the pics.

Summer, I bet you're glad your mum likes counting all the change in your cookie jar.

Skylark, hope to catch up with you later. Has your son found a suitable holiday yet?

I too keep my small change. Then a couple of weeks before the church fete I count and bag them, give them to the church treasurer who uses them for the cash floats to pass to each fete stall holder so that they've got change to give out. That doesn't include 50p, ÂĢ1 & ÂĢ2 coins as that could be quite a lot of money.

Morning everyone
Cold and damp here. My ears are sore with the cold, i must get ear muffs like the kids wear!
Lovely to hear you are having a nice family time Summer x
Think son and girlfriend have decided on Amsterdam, he knows his way around and she hasnt been. They wanted to go for Christmas but her mum wants her at home. I dont mind one bit if son is away for Christmas, you are only young once, but hey ho, she has to respect her mums wishes. Its not going down well though

Have a good day all.

I don't know if you spotted this news items yesterday on the BBC website:

Actor Mark Rylance has made his Broadway Shakespeare debut - but was upstaged by his own dog's performance.

Apache, a Jack Russell Terrier, was reluctant to leave the Belasco Theatre stage, where Rylance is starring in Richard III and Twelfth Night.

"He made an excellent entrance, but I'll have to teach him a few things about exits!" said Rylance, winner of two Tony awards.

I found this picture of the two of them on another site:

That sounds very exciting Yogi for your son.  Also the garden centre must be very interesting at this time of year.

Cute dog, looks a bit like Tilly!

Moonie! welcome back, I hope you are ok

Good morning all I'm just waking from a long lay in and a heavy sleep, I can hear my mum clattering in the kitchen so I had better get up! We're going to go for a gentle walk and then have lunch out somewhere.

El, I thought the owl hat was amusing

Squiggle, how are things at yours this week?

Yogi, have a fab day, and bring us a PB update later

Skylark I hope you are having a good start to the week
