Good heavens, I wonder how you even start to bake a cake like that   It's amazing.

A little update on the deer.  My grandson has just seen her down in the village whilst he was walking his dog.  He said when he called the dog suddenly this deer leapt out and jumped away, she seems to have gone now into a lower field which backs onto woodland, so hopefully she will join up with the main herd.  As he saw her closer up than I did (I was about 30 feet above her) he confirmed what I'd felt she's a young one, probably this seasons's offspring.

Good morning everyone. Weather is dry and chilly.

Sorry I missed you again, Summer.  Have a great time with your mum - I'm guessing you are in for a chatty time.

I am minding PB today, so had to get to bed at a reasonable time. She is teething, poor Darling, so I may be in for a busy day.

Squiggle, I hope the deer has found her way back to the woodland.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone, lots of rain at the moment, but it should soon clear up only to return later.

I think it was a good sign with the deer that she had managed to get out of the field near me, at some stage she would have had to walk through some streets I think but having made it as far as she has she is very near lots of woodland so I feel reassured.

Have a lovely day with your mum Summer, she will love having you to talk with today.

This morning, I had just driven out of the carpark in Cheltenham on to Regent Street, was driving along Regent Street which merges into Rodney Road. A young man on a bicycle came out from the other part of Rodney Road and went right across Regent Street in front of me without bothering to look to his right to see if any cars were coming towards him from where I was coming. Coming from Regent Street into the part of Rodney Street I was heading, I do have the right of way, the cyclist doesn't.

Luckily for him I wasn't driving at all fast so there wasn't an accident. If I had been driving fractionally faster or had been there a second earlier, that young man would now be seriously injured or in the mortuary.

Cheltenham Town beaten by Tamworth in the FA Cup. Tamworth are in the league below Cheltenham and this is the first time Cheltenham have been beaten in the FA Cup by a team in a league not in the 4 top English leagues since Cheltenham went into League 2. Cheltenham aren't doing very well in League 2 and could well join Tamworth next season.

Yes the holiday planning is still going on. They cant decide to where to go, well they did then didnt

I see the same with cyclists as well, but I would put this morning's cyclist in the same category as that woman cyclist who was recently shown on television narrowly escaping death by starting to cross over a railway line in front of a speeding train.

We had a great day with PB. She was in very good form and is a really happy baby - as long as she is being entertained.

El, that must have given you a shock! I am so wary of cyclists when I am driving.

Skylark, where are your son and his GF thinking of going on holiday? Tell them to hurry up and book somewhere, then they can stop hogging the computer!

Summer, I hope you are having a lovely time with your mum.

Squiggle, how is your grandsons's foot? Did the other grandson manage to get the lights problem fixed on his bike?

Moonie, sending you love and a big hug.

Crikey El, I'm glad there wasn't an accident, thank goodness you were alert. I hope you're feeling alright about it

Yogi PB sounds like such a darling, I'm glad her teething didn't bring you a bad day, I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it

Skylark & squiggle I hope you've both had a good day and enjoyed your read this evening

Work was very busy but brilliant fun, my mum arrived safely & smoothly and we've had a lovely evening

I probably won't be around tomorrow as we're taking a road trip to visit some relatives, I hope you all have a lovely day

Leaving a hug for moonie
~Sparkling Summer~

 Morning

Cold and frosty here this morning.
Glad you had a nice day with PB Yogi X, and mum arrived safely Summer.
Never got started on the book as i ended up watching Foyles War, i hadnt seen that one, although the racism made me mad. The book is Stay Close by Harlan Coben. The lady in the shop said she had read it and found it a good read.
Have a good day everyone, what ever you up to. x

Good morning everyone, a much better morning here.  A lovely picture Skylark, and a very poignant sentiment.

I'm glad you had a good day with PB Yogi and with your mum Summer - have a good road trip today, I hope your weather is good.

No they still haven't got to the cause of the lighting problem, we put in a new battery in case it was that but it wasn't.  He has someone who's going to look into it when he gets a moment but we have another problem to deal with now, he had a spoke come loose so we've been sourcing a replacement for that and he dare not ride it until that can be replaced because evidently once one spoke is missing it puts extra strain on all the others and they can go like dominos.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning everyone. A lovely frosty morning up here.

Skylark, what beautiful poppies for Remembrance Sunday.

Summer, enjoy your day out with your mum.

Oh no Squiggle, I hope it isn't costly for your grandson to get the repairs done.

Hubby and I are getting ready to go out. We have photo frames to buy and are also looking for some First Christmas goodies for PB.

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi19

Moonie, it's nice to hear from you and I hope you are feeling OK.

Skylark, beautiful poppies It was the Remembrance Sunday service at our church this morning of course. We still get a decent number of guides and brownies (or whatever they are called nowadays) at this service carrying their standards (flags) at the start and the end of the service though it's been ages since there were any scouts or cubs there due to the scout leader being an athiest.

Squiggle, your grandson's bike sounds as if it's going to cost more to get into a usable condition than the bike cost - nightmare

El Loro

I think it's just a question of getting used to what you need to maintain a bike on a daily basis EL.  He should have been checking the spokes daily.  Luckily his brother is very good with bikes - he is intending to rebuild his own bike, he won his claim and a cheque is on its way to him.  I think I have managed to track down a replacement spoke on eBay and also a spoke spanner.

Wow, that is some amount of damage! Naughty boars!

When my sons were younger they attended Remembrance Day services with Cubs and Boy's Brigade, and I remember attending when I was in The Guides. It's a shame the Cubs/Scouts in your area don't attend the service, El.

Squiggle, I'm glad your grandson won his claim.

I hope the bike is soon fixed and running well.

I didn't find any photo frames to suit. I have now ordered online for the second time and hope that the frame is suitable this time. *crosses fingers*

 That's good, El.

When I was out and about today, it was nice to see a lot of younger people wearing their poppies.
