Good morning Squiggle. Your little poem made me laugh.
El Loro, maybe it was a MI5 operation, so you'll never find out what went on. Or maybe I have watched too many Spooks programmes.

Yogi, every time you access a website or send an email, the time, email address (but not the content), and limited information on internet access has to be recorded by your ISP so the the authorities can see what we have been up to. And that's a fact, not fiction. Also phone calls.

And of course so am I
Believe it or not, after a thoroughly overcast morning and early afternoon, the cloud has vanished leaving a beautifully sunny afternoon - that's much better and more cheerful.
It was pretty chilly here today but at least the rain stayed off.
Keira's visit to the groomers went well. No dramas (thankfully), and she emerged happy and looking gorgeous.

That's a relief, Yogi - it's a pity the groomer couldn't do the Vet bit at the same time, or the vet do the grooming bit.

Hi all, had a read back and decided you are all bonkers Anyway hope you are all well
Hi Skylark
You've only just realised that we're all bonkers here!
I've always been bonkers as I reckon the only way to stay sane is to be a bit insane at times. My problem is that I'm insane the whole time

I should have been locked up years ago El
My father went to Gloucester prison a few times during his life.
When he waa young, he was in a church choir and the choir sang in the prison from time to time.
I'm signing off now as I want my tea and then it's yet another murderous mayhem in Midsomer (can't be anybody left there by now - they're either been murdered or in prison)
See you tomorrow if I haven't been sectioned overnight.

Evening all.
I've been bonkers for years - at least, that's what my family keep telling me.

We could rename this thread Ben's Bonkers Buddies . I'm not seriously suggesting this as it could attract attention from others who think it means something else (as used by Bruce Willis in Moonlighting years ago)

Good morning El Loro. Good morning Buddies.
Weather is rather chilly here today.
Good morning Yogi
It's chilly here as well, and looking at the weather forecast, I think it will be a long time before it gets much warmer.

Sadly, I think we have seen the last of the mild weather.
I removed the last of the tomatoes from my greenhouse yesterday. Those that show no sign of ripening will become green tomato chutney, at the weekend.

Quick hi and bye from me as well, its quite parky here today
Hi Squiggle, I hope you are well.
Hi Yogi and EL, a quick dash before I go to housegroup. Tomorrow hopefully should be calmer, glad I got the pond and the drive done before the weather turned, hope you are both well, wrap up warm. Just a thought I bet Joyron is lovely and warm, I must go and check on her progress
Edit: Ooh they are in Cannes, sigh.......

Ooooh Cannes, how lovely. Lucky Joyron and Mr Joyron.
Squiggle, I am intrigued - what is housegroup?
And it's nice and sunny and pleasnatly warm in Cannes, just to be us jealous
Yogi, I'm guessing that squiggle's house group is a bible reading fellowship where a group of people from the same area get together in one of their houses. It goes a bit further than the typical Lent course as it carries on throughout the year, and some of these house groups will from time to time have a simple communal meal. So it's a way for people to get to know each other and support each other rather than just seeing them for a few minutes each Sunday. It harks back to the very early church where there were no churches. People would get together in groups meeting where they lived, particularly when they were being persecuted so it was difficult to hold meetings in the open.
But of course I could be completely wrong

Thank you, El Loro.
I think I remember my MiL hosting similar meetings, although I don't think she called it a housegroup. She's in her eighties now and not fit to host meetings at home any more.

I thought you explained that very well EL. Its a wonderful group, we have such an interesting discussion and plenty of laughs along the way. Today one of our couples was celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary and they brought luscious cakes, coffee and walnut and lemon, totally delicious. We are all learning and growing together and the fellowship is wonderful.

What a wonderful way to describe it, Squiggle. Oh, and coffee and walnut cake is my absolute favourite.
Good morning everyone.
The weather is dry and quite mild, in my little bit of Scotland.
I hope it's nice where you are.

Good morning everyone
I hope everyone is well and here is some M&S coffee & walniut cake for you all
(and some lemon drizzle cake for those who don't line nuts)
Weatherwise, it's another cold grey start, but dry, but it looks as if in a few days its going to get a lot colder with a strong North wind - that silly weather site shows temperaratures from next Wednesday as what you expect in January, and the Met Office site also says that temperatures will be well below normal. At least in my part, it seems tobe dry, but they are forecating snow up North.
I will be out from lunchtime as it is my friend's funeral this afternoon, and I may not be back until very late.

Good morning, El Loro.
Thank you for the coffee and walnut cake - delicious!
The snow that is forecast for up North better avoid my area.
Big for this afternoon.

Good morning everyone, I think we are definitely in for a chilly week, so we'll have to wrap up warm. I'll be thinking of you this afternoon EL, hope it will be a time of remembering your friend's life as well as saying a sad farewell.
