Yogi, every time you access a website or send an email, the time, email address (but not the content), and limited information on internet access has to be recorded by your ISP so the the authorities can see what we have been up to. And that's a fact, not fiction. Also phone calls. Data Retention Regulations 2009 what has to be retained for 12 months
Wow, they really are watching us.
It's a good job I am anand have nothing to hide.

My father went to Gloucester prison a few times during his life.

When he waa young, he was in a church choir and the choir sang in the prison from time to time.

I'm signing off now as I want my tea and then it's yet another murderous mayhem in Midsomer (can't be anybody left there by now - they're either been murdered or in prison)

See you tomorrow if I haven't been sectioned overnight.

Hi Yogi and EL, a quick dash before I go to housegroup.  Tomorrow hopefully should be calmer, glad I got the pond and the drive done before the weather turned, hope you are both well, wrap up warm.  Just a thought I bet Joyron is lovely and warm, I must go and check on her progress

Edit:  Ooh they are in Cannes, sigh.......

And it's nice and sunny and pleasnatly warm in Cannes, just to be us jealous

Yogi, I'm guessing that squiggle's house group is a bible reading fellowship where a group of people from the same area get together in one of their houses. It goes a bit further than the typical Lent course as it carries on throughout the year, and some of these house groups will from time to time have a simple communal meal. So it's a way for people to get to know each other and support each other rather than just seeing them for a few minutes each Sunday. It harks back to the very early church where there were no churches. People would get together in groups meeting where they lived, particularly when they were being persecuted so it was difficult to hold meetings in the open.

But of course I could be completely wrong

I thought you explained that very well EL.  Its a wonderful group, we have such an interesting discussion and plenty of laughs along the way.  Today one of our couples was celebrating their 38th wedding anniversary and they brought luscious cakes, coffee and walnut and lemon, totally delicious.  We are all learning and growing together and the fellowship is wonderful.

What a wonderful way to describe it, Squiggle.
Oh, and coffee and walnut cake is my absolute favourite.

Good morning everyone

I hope everyone is well and here is some M&S coffee & walniut cake for you all
(and some lemon drizzle cake for those who don't line nuts)

Weatherwise, it's another cold grey start, but dry, but it looks as if in a few days its going to get a lot colder with a strong North wind - that silly weather site shows temperaratures from next Wednesday as what you expect in January, and the Met Office site also says that temperatures will be well below normal. At least in my part, it seems tobe dry, but they are forecating snow up North.

I will be out from lunchtime as it is my friend's funeral this afternoon, and I may not be back until very late.
