Good thinking EL, you have sharp eyes, I never noticed that, and of course Janine can afford top lawyers.
It may be sunny here at present but it's very windy and rain is forecast for later.
At M&S today I was given a ÂĢ3 voucher against the cost of a bottle of port but I didn't use it.
So I don't have any port in a storm

Had my three 'babies' visiting today, and my new DiL.
Went to Costco and saw lots of great toys for my granddaughter, but they were all too old for her. Boy, will I go on a spending spree when she's a bit older.
I've had a busy day! we had planned on going to a firework display tonight but the rain put us off. We stayed in instead
Bramble continues to not be bothered in the slightest by fireworks
Yogi, I bet you can't wait to buy PB lots of lovely gifts! I'm frustrated that Ava won't even remember christmas, I too am looking forward to the time when I can buy her some great gifts.
I did find a story book in m&s where you record yourself reading the story, it's ideal if you live a distance from your loved ones. I think I'll get it for her
Skylark I hope you and your sister are having a lovely relaxing weekend
The M&S story book sounds like a great idea.
We saw this brilliant horse (sit on, not rocking) which neighed when you pressed his ears. Unfortunately it was for age 5 upwards - we sooo nearly bought it anyway.
I was so tempted to buy it, it was gorgeous and so soft - but huge!
Youngest and middle sons kept saying, "Mum, she is only 6 months old!"
I'm sure they will.
Eldest son and DiL1 usually spend Christmas Day with DiL's parents, and Boxing Day with us, but not sure what's happening this year.
Falling asleep, so better go.
Goodnight Summer, sweet dreams.
Hug for Moonie, if you are night owling.
If PB is at yours on Boxing Day, then I think it'll feel like a second Christmas Day
Sweet dreams see you tomorrow
Goodnight hugs for moonie in case you pop in
Good morning everyone
Fairly sunny here and not as windy as yesterday afternoon and evening. The wind didn't stop the fireworks displays - there seemed to be 3 public displays near where I live during the course of the evening.
Good morning everyone, still very windy here.
That horse sounds gorgeous Yogi, I would have been sorely tempted, it's all part of the joy of being grandparents being able to buy lovely gifts. Still, as you say, plenty to look forward to.
Bramble is one laid back dog that's for sure, lil Miss Cool!
Have a good day everyone.
PS I am getting so fed up with Natalie's smug smirk on Strictly
Good morning everyone. After yesterday's constant rain, it is dry this morning.
No fireworks going off last night - far too wet for them.
Hoping to have a relaxing day, catching up on some reading.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning, Squiggle.
I agree with you about Natalie being smug. Imo, she thinks she has the winner's trophy in the bag. Unfortunately, she probably has!
By the way, if you are seeing the posting times an hour later than they should be I think it's to do with the States changing their clocks by an hour overnight.
Windy but dry, sunny and bright here.
I've just finished a kick ass assault on my kitchen cupboards! The wheelie bin weighs a ton
I'm just having a little Turkish delight break before I go clean my windows.
Yogi I hope you're having a nice relaxing day and enjoying your reading
Squiggle I hope you too can relax after your busy week!
El, did you see any fireworks from your house? I heard a few late on but didn't see any
Summer, I was watching Atlantis and then a Fred Astaire film which I had recorded yesterday evening so I didn't look for the fireworks. As there are houses around me between my house and the various playing fields where the fireworks displays were I would have only seen the fireworks above roof level. There will be lots more fireworks in the next few days.
It's also Diwali (the Hindu festival of lights) today so some of the fireworks displays are to celebrate that rather than bonfire night.
We had a beautiful walk, the low sun and golden leaves just make me smile the whole way round
Been out buying a baby walker for PB. It's a 3 in 1, and can be used as a bouncer, a 'sit in' baby walker and a 'push' baby walking aid. It's a pink car and has lights and sounds too!

The autumn colours of the trees are beautiful, atm.
Glad you enjoyed your walk. Is Bramble back to her bouncy self now?

That sounds lovely, she is going to love it!

I've warned DiL to expect bruised shins, once she gets going in it.

Is PB going to need to pass her driving test first
While looking for an image of a pink car (not I would ever get one) I found this extraordinary photo:
That's different!

I hope she won't be a girl racer!
Yogi, that's exciting, it won't be long before PB will be whizzing around in her car!
Bramble appears cheerful enough and wants to play plenty but she's off her food again today and threw up this morning. I just don't know what the matter is, we've got new kibble too and she liked it enough the last couple of days
That's different!
Don't ask me how anyone could get into that car as the door handles seem to be covered, let alone drive it
More on the above car - article seems to have been written in 1998:
Love 23 is a 1983 Ford LTD Station wagon covered with toys inside and out! Originally created in June, 1990, Kathleen Pearson has been working on this car for over 7 years now. |
I wonder what gave her the idea in the first place? It would irritate the life out of me.

No idea why she thought of it, but just look at what she's wearing

I have no idea what to describe her outfit as EL Oh well it takes all sorts to make a world.
