Yogi, I hope your check up went well. I saw something on the news last week about the possibility of there being a once in a lifetime flu jab being developed so if successful that would mean an end to the annual flu jab.

Getting jabs doesn't bother me too much but the idea of a one-off flu jab sounds good, El.

Yogi, do you get any side effects after your flu jab?

It's raining here now, I went out for some lunch and have come back looking like a fuzzy ball lol

My arm sometimes aches a bit for a day or two, otherwise I don't usually get any side effects.

Any plans for tomorrow?

You are doing well

I think you have hollow legs sweet

Nope, no plans as yet. How about you?

Good morning everyone

Cloudy and looking as it it's going to be another wet day.

Skylark, I hope your sister's house move goes smoothly today

Re barn owls, there's a barn owl centre just to the south of Gloucester. Sometimes they have a stand in the Regent Arcade shopping centre in Cheltenham complete with a barn owl, so I too have seen a barn owl in real life.

I love the 'over and out' owl.  I love risotto too, ages since I had one.  I'm glad you had a lovely evening Summer.  Hope you are still feeling better this morning Yogi and moonie it does my heart good to know you are eating so well, well done

I hope all goes well with your sister's move Skylark, will you be lending a hand?  I have never seen a barn owl but I live in hopes.  I look outside on dark nights and I often hear the tawny owls hunting and another owl which makes a 'yip yip' sound but I don't know what it is.

Back from visiting a local client. Needless to say it's been raining but walking back to my car there was a brief respite and there was even a bit of blue sky amongst the rain clouds.

And for a few seconds there was a rainbow with particularly vivid bands of colour. All the bands including the violet could be seen. And I could even see a line marking the edge of the rainbow with what would have been the ultraviolet band which is invisible to human eye.

Well move went not too badly.  Removal men didnt arrive till 10am, they were booked for 9.30. My son and myself were waiting at the new house, with the wrong keys, so sat on the doorstep in the lashing rain. The neighbour next door came out and offered us in for a cup of tea, which was very nice and welcoming. She has brand new carpets down so i was emptying some boxes and laying them on the floor for dirty feet! Have left them to it, they waiting on gas cooker chap coming now, of course it has to be someone registered to do that.
Pity it rained so hard and now the sun is shining!!!

Havent seen a rainbow for a while, they are so beautiful, arent they.

Glad Yogi and moonie are well xx
