It's clouded over a lot here since this morning but I don't think it will rain.

 

They're talking about possible snow later in the week but just over the Scottish mountains, not at lower levels.

 

 Snow! I'm glad I don't live up in the mountains! 

 

I didn't get any trousers on my shopping trip, I might need to go into Glasgow.

No it isn't very far. I think it's around 15 miles (as the crow flies) but parking is a bit of a pain, so I tend to go by train.

Correct, El. I used to work in Glasgow city centre many years ago but now I avoid going there if I can. There are good shops there, it's just so busy, even on a weekday.

Hi all, having a sit down before the cafeteria opens ! Son is telling Granddaughter all about Newcastle. He had a good time. 
Dont blame you for not wanting to travel to get your shopping Yogi, same here, the city centre is always packed full of people, especially tourists who seem to leave their brains at home ! Glad PB is doing well.

Are you able to get into Glasgow for shortly after 9 as then the shops probably won't be as busy as later in the day?

 

I could go in for 10am, thus missing the busy commuter trains but early enough for the shops to be quieter. Good thinking, El.

I'm glad your son and GF had a good time in Newcastle, I thought they would enjoy it. Is your granddaughter a good audience for his tales?

Yes they do, both adore each other . They out now kicking a ball about. Oh to be young again with boundless energy 

 Yes, our energy supplies definitely deplete as we get older.

There was a Police van outside, across the way for nearly an hour. Two large male officers going around a few doors. My large nose got the better of me, so took the dog out and wandered around looking very innocent , but cant find out anything. How annoying! I must get a life ! 

 Get back out there, Miss Marple, and find out what's going on!
