Good morning everyone, I slept late this morning.  I am so glad you have your laptop back moonie and that you are feeling better.  Yogi I'm the same I can't even read anything spooky late at night.  Have a good day with your parents.  Is it humid where everyone else is?  It's been awfully humid down here and seems set to continue.  I hope Skylark is OK.

Have a good day everyone,

squiggle

I am glad your head is feeling much clearer EL.

Summer I have both boys at the moment as my youngest grandson is signed off sick with a broken foot.  It is in fact illegal for him to work at the moment, even if he could, as if he goes in and slips on something in the kitchen the hotel could be sued for negligence.  Good luck with the Christmas decorations.  I remember my hubby making lots of pom pom robins one year when our daughter was in her teens, and all her friends wanted one.  We all joined in with winding the brown wool round two pieces of card, they then got tied in the middle and snipped to make the fluffy body, I know it had a red breast but can't remember whether we wound red wool for that bit, pipe cleaner feet and a stick on bill and hy presto Roly Robins

I was talking to a friend yesterday who says at this time of year she feels very low, I said I, like you, look forward to Christmas.

squiggle

Squiggle, I'm not surprised that your youngest grandson isn't allowed to work. He can't be that mobile at present and if there was a fire in the hotel kitchens he could be struggling to get out. I know he's rather be working, but it is for his own safety.

The client of mine who is about to have the ankle operation goes into hospital on Tuesday. That is part 1 of the operation. 4 weeks to recover, That will then be followed by part 2 of the operation which is the big one. 8 weeks to recover. So if everthing goes smoothly he will be able to return to work by mid January.

Roly Robins

I think people can be a bit low at this time of year as it's getting darker in the evenings so they know that summer's over.

El Loro
Aw roly robins sound like great fun! I wonder who still has one..?
We recently went through MIL's old christmas decorations and there's several that the children had made at school. They look old & fragile but she'd kept them all these years!

It's a shame your grandson can't go in squiggle, bless him, I know I would still want to too.
~Sparkling Summer~

I'm back! The form filling was a bit of a nightmare but is now complete.

I never made roly robins as a child - they are cute! I feel deprived.

I don't think I'd be too keen on Finnish food, if the stuff in El's link is indicative of what they eat!

Moonie, good to see you back again today.

Squiggle, it's probably best that your grandson rests his foot for a while, even though he sounds very committed to his job.

Have a good weekend with your brother, El. Is he bringing cakes?

Summer, I wish I had a tenth of your talent for making things. My attempts would resemble something a four year old would make.

Skylark, hope you are around later.

That's a relief. Now we just need you to get sorted out at the hospital.

 @ the Xbox question - he's such a lad!

Oh yes, it's very important to have the chat. Did he pay attention or just roll his eyes?
