I hope Bramble is a bit more comfortable today.  I coloured my hair yesterday, as Yogi says it makes all the difference when your hair is looking its best.

Yogi, very sorry yes I fell asleep faster than a speed train last night belated sweet dreams and I hope you slept well I must go apologise to baz now too.

I'm pleased to say that Bramble got some very good eye drops and they're working very quickly Indeed! She's much happier this morning

Only bits of rain this morning here but it's windy. Should be better later this afternoon.

 

Just been talking with the client I've known for over 40 years, the one who is having the ankle operation. He's seen the consultant and is now waiting for the letter telling him when the operation will be and when to go in. Should be in the next couple of weeks. Although he hopes that his sister will take him to the hospital on the day he's asked me to be a stand-by in case she can't. He does live close by and the hospital is not that far away so I'm happy to though I've warned him that I need notice as to when it would be.

I'm glad Bramble is better today.

Squiggle, you ought to have given us a twirl after you had coloured your hair.

I hope when your friend has the op, it all goes well, El. Will his sister be able to help him out while he recuperates? 

 

You're a good friend El, and hopefully you'll get plenty of notice if you are needed.

Squiggle, did you try a different colour or do you have a particular one that you like to stick to?

I'm waiting at the dentist, a different one, I hope this gentleman is less scary than the last one!

Yogi, I believe that my client's sister will. She will also be looking after their parents which he would otherwise be doing. The surgeon says it will take 4 to 6 weeks before he can return to work after the 8 hour operation. He has arranged with  work colleague to get him to and from work. His leg will be fitted with a metal clamp which has a number of screws which he will have to adjust throughout the day, presumably every time he stands to walk, sit down, go to bed. He has bought baggy trousers to wear, one leg of which will be cut so that it can fit over the clamp, then use safety pins to hold the trouser leg.

 

He will be clamped for 18 months

Oh my goodness, that sounds like a horrific operation the poor chap

It's not surprising that we hadn't heard about ankle replacement surgery before. It seems more complex than hip replacement and the operation takes a lot longer.

 

His ankle must have been really bad for them to be doing the surgery!

My new dentist is lovely no wonder mr summer insisted I try him.
He's recommended 2 fillings, not 5, and can do it now. I'm just waiting for the anesthetic to kick in I'm much happier now

Poor man, that sounds like a complicated op with a very long period of recuperation.

 

Summer, how did it go at the new dentist?

Edit: Oops, I've just noticed your post above mine. Two fillings seem a lot better than five.

I do hope your dentist is nice, it makes such a difference.  I am 9.3 Summer, so I always get Garnier Belle Colour which is marked with the colour shades like the professional ones.  I always used to have my hair tinted until we moved down here, but luckily my last hairdresser used to do my hair at home and he worked out which colour I was and I used to buy the colour at the local hairdressing supply shop.  I never thought to do a twirl Yogi does a quick one now.

I don't use hair tint but my hair colour (besides the grey bits) is so dark brown that it can pass for black.

We are  My nephew is hardly ever here for more than a few hours at a time and works away Friday to Monday  but I am managing fanks 

Are you managing to eat some proper meals?

Maybe  tbh just snacks really 

Rice pudding, perhaps?

Or soup? 

 Soup is good. I sometimes have tinned soup at lunchtime, and during the winter I often make homemade soups.

Mine will be tinned soup

Oh moonie, I wish we could make you better, I don't suppose you feel like eating at times but yogi is right, some decent food will help you. I hope your nephew stocks up the cupboards when he's home, and that you can order food online too
