I'm looking forward to it. Autumn tv schedules are usually pretty good.
I'm going to go for a bath and toddle off to bed now. Goodnight Summer and Baz, catch up tomorrow.
Good morning everyone
Welcome back Yogi
Cloudier here than yesterday but dry. Looks as if the weather will become wetter across the country by Friday.
Good morning everyone, lovely to see you back Yogi glad it all went so well. Baz!!! lovely to see you in here
I'm not a Whitechapel fan but I do like Rupert. Looking forward to Downton though
Off to church soon, it's a nice coolish morning, definitely autumnal though, have a good day everyone
Summer, in astronomical terms, autumn does start on 21 September in the Northern hemphisphere.
The Met Office uses September, October & November as their definition of autumn mainly for convenience and to use as a guide from year to year.
Interesting article about the seasons from the Met Office:

Ooh you've become titled Lady Summer make sure you don't peak too early
We'll need to call you ~Lady Sweet Pancakes Summer-Winter Wonderland~
Evening all. I've been out for the day with youngest son and his GF, then they came for dinner - a lovely day!
Summer, I love the new name and the candy canes.
El and Squiggle, it's good to be back.
I was taught the same re the seasons, Joe.
Yes, I'm sure they are. We were talking about Christmas today, as the shops are already getting things in for Christmas. Costco had cards, gift tags, wrapping paper and a giant Santa yesterday.
Is she bringing you toys to play with her?
Yes, PB's first Christmas. She won't know what it's all about but it will be great to have a baby in the family again at Christmas time.
Got to go, Summer. Goodnight and sweet dreams.
Good morning everyone
Fairly sunny morning here.
Summer, well done on the candy canes and that's a beautiful owl
Good morning everyone. It's raining and windy up here - very autumnal!
Lovely owl, Summer.
I have to go into Glasgow today to take paperwork to the Registry Office for my son and new DiL. I think I'm going to take the train in, it's easier than trying to park the car!
Have a good day, everyone.
Moonie and Skylark, sending you big hugs.
No, I don't go into town very often nowadays - although I used to work there many years ago.
I wish you lots of luck today and hope you don't get any moany or grumpy clients.
Good morning everyone. I can just picture your wee granddaughter's face on seeing all the Christmas lights and Christmas tree with all the baubles Yogi. Although she won't know the meaning think of all the fun she'll have with the wrapping paper and boxes.
Good luck in Glasgow today, and good luck too Summer, hope you have lovely smiley customers. I love the candy canes, what do you make them of? I especially love the teeny tiny one. Great owl too.
Yogi, I hope your visit to the registrar goes smoothly
Summer, I hope you survive intact today and that your clients behave themselves
I have safely delivered the paperwork to the Registry Office and am now off to do some grocery shopping. See you all later.
In today's local paper. Although Lily-Lou may be cute, I don't like animals wearing clothes (other than where they need to for warmth) and that pink thing is not needed.
A cavachon called Lily-Lou has won the coveted title of Gloucestershire Echo Cutest Pet 2013.
Almost 15,000 votes were cast in the search for the countyâs most lovable creature and the 20-month-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel and Bichon Frise cross received almost 1,000 votes.

Owner LaâRaine Coates, 51, a care assistant who lives in New Barn Lane, said people âjust fall in loveâ with Lily-Lou when they meet her.
âI saw the competition when I was shopping, but I didnât initially think about entering,â LaâRaine explained. âAll of my friends and family kept telling me I should enter because Lilly-Lou is such a cute little thing â people call her âthe little princessâ.
She's such a cute dog, I didn't notice the tutu at first, what a silly idea.
Cute dog - but I'd ditch the tutu.
When I was on the train, I noticed that there were loads of bramble bushes along the way. I couldn't help thinking, 'What a waste!' GJ and I could have made delicious jam/jelly with all those plump, ripe brambles.

Squiggle, if she is anything like her dad, she'll prefer the wrapping paper and boxes to the toys.
I think we seem to be in agreement with the dog -
tut tut to the tutu
Yogi, would those brambles be contaminated with fumes etc from passing trains?

I don't know, El. The trains are electric - do those have fumes? I'm a mechanical dunce!
And yes, tut tut to the tutu.
Yogi, I would think it less likely that the brambles would be contaminated with trains powered by electricity. My part of the country has no electrified lines as far as I know, just diesel (or coal for the heritage railway which runs from Cheltenham racecourse northwards).

Your post made me double check if our line is electrified (in case I was being a total numpty), and it is.
Unfortunately, the brambles are far too close to the line and it would be dangerous to attempt to gather them.
No Summer tonight? Leaving you a big hug, see you tomorrow.
