It went very well Summer, we sang some lovely old hymns, the first of which was when you cross that beautiful shore, and I know she has now crossed that beautiful shore and is in Heaven with Jesus, such a comfort to know she is there, she is young again and able to move without pain, and reunited with her loved ones who have gone before.

Well done EL on mowing your lawn, another step on your way to complete recovery

It sounds like a fitting service for your lovely friend, Squiggle.

Thanks Summer I was half expecting to be called up for England for the test match starting tomorrow but decided against it as I thought I might be over doing it if I was called to bowl

I tell you Yogi, there is passing now a generation the likes of which I don't think we will ever see again.  She had a hard life but lived it close to the Lord.

Mr Yogi and I have said something very similar. I'm in complete agreement with you.

As the next test after tomorrow's is in Australia I wonder if the England team would pay for an all expenses paid 2 month visit there

Crime dramas are popular with us tonight.

I never noticed that before. Maybe the animation is new - or perhaps we are unobservant.

In my case the later

Probably the latter in my case, too.

Got to sign out now, hope to see you tomorrow.

Leaving hugs for Summer and any other night owls.

Nah

Goodnight Yogi. Sleep well and have sweet dreams

Hoot hoot! Tonight's night owl is inspired by the return of the Great British Bake Off- which I thoroughly enjoyed I'll chip in to the fund! we save all year round, anything lower that 50p's in a giant cookie jar. usually it's used for the christmas food shop but I'll forsake that for you guys Btw, the cookie jar is a pig, so we refer to small change as "pig food"

Oink oink

Lovely piccie

Moonie

Good morning everyone

A mix of blue sky and cloud here.

Great owl cake, Summer

I don't know if has always been animated or not but I think it probable has.

There is one of the smilies which are animated where the degree of animation is so small that it is hardly noticeable at all. See if you can find which one.

El Loro

Good morning everyone. Overcast up here.

Great owl cake, and very colourful! I like that your cookie jar savings for Christmas food are nicknamed 'pig food'.

I have to take Keira to the groomers this afternoon. She is in need of a tidy up - her paws look like the hairy hooves on a clyesdale horse, atm.

El, I had a good look at the smilies/smileys (I never know which is the plural of smiley) and think it might be this one . Am I right?

Have a good day everyone.

Yogi19

Good morning everyone, goodness I have never looked at the smileys so much in all my life

I have the plumber coming later to fit a new bathroom basin, can't remember whether I told you the saga of the taps that wouldn't come out or not it's been a busy few days and my head is all over the place.  My daughter is then going to come up the dump with me to get rid of the old basin and pedestal.

Have a good day everyone

I couldn't remember whether I had or not, the hot tap started leaking and I remembered last time the plumber came and changed all the washers he said the tap was worn out and would not take a new washer next time.  So I knew it had to come out but the plumber said when they used to put taps in then they put them in in such a way that it was like solid lead and they were very difficult to remove.  He managed to get the hot tap in but when he tried to remove the cold tap the basin cracked.  I am covered by insurance, I checked with the insurance company so he went off and ordered a new basin for me and, as I said, he is fitting it today.  So no more leaking hot tap, hurrah!  And I don't have to keep tightening the taps to stop them leaking.

I bet you were  when he broke the basin! Good job you are covered by insurance. Enjoy your new basin and non-leaking taps.

Yogi19

I was half expecting difficulties Yogi, I fully expected to have to pay for a new basin myself so it was a pleasant surprise to be told I was covered.  I often don't think of claiming on the insurance, no idea why I must be daft, but the plumber suggested it, he goes to the same church as me so we know each other.  He is going to put a pop-up waste in for me and I have asked him to fit one to the downstairs cloakroom basin too as plugs on chains irritate me, they are such dirt collectors.
