I would love the hedges there Squiggle, nothing is more beautiful to me than nature wherever I have lived, there's been a fuscia, and I put one in our garden when we moved in to this house too I've just had a very odd lunch break; I found a man face down in the park at first I thought he was dead, but upon a slighter closer look I discovered a whole lot of beer cans. I didn't approach him because I was alone (well, with bramble) but reported it to a local shop. Some men who work there went to check on him and discovered he was just drunk. Better to check in case he needed an ambulance though... My next thought was to call the police, children play in the park and if he's drunk then he shouldn't be in there

Summer, I would probably call the police to check on that man particularly as it's school holidays and children would be playing in the park. He's probably known to the police as it's unlikely to be the first time.

 

You've probably seen the current BBC news promotional on television featuring John Simm. Although he was referring to a different country it is similar to this news story from China which I saw yesterday on the BBC website. At least this one has a happy ending.

My bag and fascinator arrived today, but they are not a perfect match for my shoes! Aaaarrrggghhh, I don't know what to do! Do I keep the bag and fascinator and continue to search for matching shoes, or do I keep the shoes and continue to search for matching bag and fascinator?! 

I don't think this is an area which I would be much help. I'm no fashion guru and I'm more likely to confuse Norman Hartnell with William Hartnell

I've decided I'm going to take the bag into the two big shopping centres near me and try to get shoes to match the bag and fascinator. I'll also take the shoes and try to find a bag and fascinator to match. Hopefully, I'll find one or the other!

BTW, there are FAR TOO MANY shades of purple/plum/burgundy/grape/maroon out there!!!!!!
