We ended up going out for tea with SIL & BIL I abandoned my glossing project to go have a little fun. Hopefully I can do a little bit more tomorrow night, I want to finish it now! Has been raining here, currently dry but very cloudy. Rain forecast for much of the country today.

Good morning Raining here too but I quite like it- I got to test out my new coat! It's a lightweight Sherlock Holmes style coat, I felt so coooool this morning lol When I first woke this morning I felt that first little hint of autumn, it was because it was a bit darker, mostly due to the rain. I'm calorie counting this week, I appear to have over done the cakes and gained 5lb oops!

Summer, you'll need to go for a long walk with Bramble to burn the calories off

Good morning everyone. Weather is cloudy but dry.

Summer, I am so pleased you had a relaxing evening, you needed some time off. With middle son's wedding less than four weeks away, I am also watching what I eat from today onwards. I want to make sure my outfit still fits on the day!!

I like the sound of a Sherlock Holmes coat - but have you bought the matching hat?

Did anyone see the group, The Tenors, on BBC Breakfast? Their singing gave me goosebumps, so I'm off to Amazon to purchase their CD entitled 'Lead With Your Heart'.

Good morning everyone, I think it's the monsoon season here, goodness knows how much rain we've had so far but it's A LOT!!!! 

 

The 5lb gain could well be fluid Summer, I'd weigh again in a couple of days and check.

 

I love to see it like now after the rain, as the rain starts to evaporate from the trees and go back up into the clouds again.  As we have overhanging eaves I have the patio door open where I'm sitting and it's lovely and fresh now the rain has stopped for a minute - more to come later I'm sure.

 

I'm glad you had that break from your painting Summer, you can get very stale if you don't take a break.  I am very intrigued by your coat, I am trying to picture it, without success

Thanks EL, but my plans are for staying in today I love to watch the rain when I am safely indoors   I just can't imagine a lightweight summer version of that coat

Here it is squiggle... The one that caught my eye was tan with a black trim, but after trying on both I thought the black suited me better and I can add any colour scarf to it. I do need a hat now though

Thanks squiggle I love a coat to have pockets! Somewhere to tuck my hands if it gets chilly I'm like you with the rain, I enjoy watching it and have got the door open today too

It's lovely, I wish you could see the valley now, with a gentle mist rising up from the trees, fascinating to see as it drifts up to join the clouds again.

Thanks EL, it's a little similar.  It's so fascinating to watch, it's raining heavily here now, so it looks like there's mist in the valley, but as soon as it stops, it start drifting slowly upwards.

I love the mist too, nature humbles me Hi moonie did you sleep well?

Hi Sweet  Nah, not really. Tossed and turned all night. Did you sleep well?

As always I did get woken by heavy rain but it sounded so good that I soon fell asleep again. Were you too warm or just awake?

It was quite cool here last night. I just kept having quick naps. Tossing and turning 

Here, after a dry morning and even some blue sky, there's been quite a heavy shower.
