Good morning everyone

Nice brekkie Summer

It's sunny here at present but yesterday evening and overnight it was heavy rain. It's likely there will be heavy showers today and tomorrow. As far as Monday is concerned I have ensured that I do not need to go out as there is the prospect of non-stop heavy rain for much of the day. No weather warnings yet issued by the Met Office but they will.

El Loro

Perfect Summer, breakfast in the garden thanks

Cooler and showery here, but very welcome.  They said it would be cool yesterday but it wasn't it was hot and thundery, I was grumbling about weather forecasters being paid a fortune and you might as well hold up a piece of seaweed

Heavy showers on Monday EL?  I will have to check my local forecast (wonder if it will be accurate )

Have a good day everyone

Aw what a cute pic squiggle Well, what a to do I have to tell you! I had a parcel delivered this morning, from John Lewis via a Courier. How do you think it arrived? It flew through the air, over our 6ft garden fence and landed with a bang on our patio! Luckily it was only a pair of hand towels, but I'm outraged- if that parcel had have hit Bramble I think I would have turned into the biggest nutter in the world it landed where she frequently sits, so I'm very glad she wasn't outside! They didn't even knock on the front or back door, I was up getting breakfast so would have heard them I have spoken to the customer service team at John Lewis who have said that's completely unacceptable, especially from a health & safety point if view, and will contact the courier to inform them. I've also emailed the courier company myself to tell them, so I'll await their response. I'm glad mr summer was in the shower at the time because I hate to think how he would have reacted had he been where I was sitting!

The courier was probably from Hermes as they won the contract for delivering smaller packages fro John Lewis last year.

I found this John Lewis review site.

You may want to join the site and post about your experience.

I agree that is simply shocking and John Lewis are a byword for customer service.

ETA Wow looking at that website it seems like they are having problems, they need to pull their socks up quick sharp.

I'm glossing after work Moonie, but after that I'm freeeeeeeeeee! I'm having a lay in tomorrow morning and then just pottering about the house. I have quite a back log of house work after my decorating/coach trip antics but I'm not going to spend all weekend cleaning, the weather is far too good How wonderful squiggle do you have binoculars handy?

Work after work Sweet

I think you deserve a lay in tomorrow after all you have done this week. I hope you enjoy it

Lucky Squiggle, seeing a falcon in your garden. The only bird of prey I've had in my garden was a sparrow hawk - and it was after the little birds! It was beautiful though.

Had lots of PB cuddles today. She is such a wee darling, she melts my heart.

Summer, I hope you have a lovely relaxing day tomorrow.

Edit: I found a bag to go with my shoes for the wedding - all set now.

And awwww you had loads of PB cuddles too  Hope you got some spare ones

I did! I am pretty sure I will see her again on Thursday. Her dad is supposed to be looking after her for the day, but we've all been taking bets on how long it will be before he turns up on my doorstep with baby in tow.

I think I've found a bag. Fingers crossed it is the same colour in RL as it is online.

Well, I've found a bag, and as long as the online pic was a true representation of the colour, my search is over!

Son is great with his daughter, until she starts crying!

crying babies are a no-no when you are a man. We think there is something wrong with them

It's because you can't immediately 'fix' it.

^ I'm the same moonie, happy to hold them when they're smiling but anything else and I can't get them back to mum fast enough it would probably have helped if I had some younger family members, but alas, I'm the baby of the family lol Finished glossing upstairs, and I've left the rest for tomorrow. The light faded and I was tired anyway. Bramble had a terrific day with BIL and he seems to have thoroughly enjoyed himself Anyone for a Margarita..?
