My mother believed that it was dangerous to make phone calls when there was thunder and lightning in case the telephone cable got struck. That's not an urban myth and there are cases of people being electrocuted as a result. Of course that's more likely if you are living in a house which is higher than other houses such as on a hill. Also it couldn't apply to Virgin Media cable lines as they are at ground level and are made of optical cable.
I'm with Virgin, so hopefully I'm safe.
A few weeks ago I had a new Virgin super hub to replace my old Virgin modem. Its rubbish
After an initial hiccup, my hub has been fine, although it doesn't have the range of the old router, so I can't use my ipad when I am sitting in the back garden.
What problems are you having with yours, Moonie?
Mostly its slower Yogi. I know I have been moaning about this forum of late but even FB is slower with this hub.
Mine was really slow so I phoned up and they changed the 'channel' I was on, and it's been great ever since. Might be worth giving them a call.
Sorry, I was washing up
Now that sounds like a good idea. Fanks Yogi
I hope you get it sorted. 'Exaggerate' how slow it is and how long you've had the problem.
Devious Yogi
But of course
