I like toast for brekkie but our cooker was condemned 10 days or so ago, so no toast

Good news, we have come to a settlement with our insurance company and should have one by next weekend, all being well

Glad the insurance company have settled and you can get your new cooker.

I might go shopping for shoes and other accessories for the wedding and DiL is coming up at some point to pick up H. He was supposed to get picked up tonight but they phoned to ask if he could stay over.

Moonie seems to have disappeared. Maybe he has gone to get some cereal.

Good morning everyone

Forecast to be another warm and sunny day here, hot tomorrow, then the heatwave breaks down with lower temperatures, rain, thunderstorms, pestilence, a plague of frogs, locusts etc.

Moonie was having a visitation from Will Robinson yesterday evening, hence the disappearance. Hopefully that's a one off.

Good morning everyone, it's humid here which I always find unpleasant.  Not looking forward to the plagues you mention EL especially as I am reading Exodus at the moment and have just been reading about the plagues in Egypt

Good news about your new cooker moonie, hope you are feeling better in yourself.  I hope everyone has a lovely happy Sunday

I may be back later if not have a great day

No need to apologise, Moonie. Take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon.

Summer, you have been very busy this morning. have you decided on a colour scheme yet?

"Fish Police" son fitted a new pump in my tank yesterday. When I got up this morning, it wasn't working. Cue frantic phone call to son, who was able to talk me through how to fix it. Phew! He'd have jailed me for manslaughter if the fish had died!

Moonie, I'm sorry to hear you don't feel too good and hope you get better quickly

Squiggle, I sincerely hope we don't get and of the biblical plagues. Quite a coincidence that I mentioned those and you've been reading about them.

Not about the plagues but about the film Exodus. The film directed by Otto Preminger is known for being long and rather stodgy. When the film was premiered, after nearly 3 hours and no sign that the film was coming to an end the comedian Mort Sahl stood up in the packed theatre and shouted "Otto, let my people go!"

I remember the film, Exodus - probably because it had my favourite film star, Paul Newman, in it.

You must be psychic, Moonie. DiL came to pick up their dog (Harvey) and brought PB with her.

I wonder if PB had been a boy he would have been BB which would then match this forum

I remember the film which I've only seen once as being extremely long and extremely boring

I could never be bored, not when I had Paul Newman to swoon over - not even if the film had been 10 hours long!
