Oh no, Summer. It's a real roller-coaster for you all atm. What are the doctors saying now?
Lewis was the spin-off show from Inspector Morse. It's a police drama.

Good morning everyone
Sunny and warm here.
Summer, if you watched Morse you know what to expect from Lewis. I don't expect Lewis to return as the actors want to move on to other things and Kevin Whateley is at the age where Lewis would expect to retire. The final episode of Lewis gave him a happy ending which pleased viewers.
Endeavour is essentially the replacement series but shows Morse at the start of his career. That is a series which is likely to continue for as long as the actor who plays Endeavour Morse wants to. His boss Thursday (played by Roger Allam) fits well and could possibly have his own series in the future.
ITV are very commercially minded. They know that these series are virtually guaranteed public successes so it's in their interests to keep them going in one form or another.
And the other ITV detective show Foyle's War is another hugely popular show. Apparently Anthony Horowitz tweeted recently ago that he's writing more scripts.
@AnthonyHorowitz Can I ask please how many episodes of Foyle have been agreed to for the next series. Are you writing all of them?
@Howard54473790 Three episodes. I'm writing two.
Finally back on line, good morning everyone. Good news about Foyle's War sorry to hear your MiL had a bad day Summer. Have a good day everyone
Squiggle, it's always disconcerting when your internet connection plays up, I'm glad yours is back
I think it will be quite some time before we see the Foyle's War episodes as they are just at the initial scripting stage and they haven't been mentioned on DS yet as far as I could see either on their site or their forum.
Good morning everyone. Weather is cloudy, with some sunny spells.
Glad your internet is back, Squiggle. I'm like a headless chicken when my internet goes down.
Good news about Foyle's War, I love that programme.
Have a good day all.
Good morning one and all
I liked Foyle's War it was gentle but kept my interest
As for Endeavour I have watched very little but it didn't do anything for me tbh, sorry.
Have a great weekend Buddies

I think Endeavour is of interest to those who watched Morse over the years and it's interesting to see how the young Morse compares to the Morse as played by John Thaw. Although Colin Dexter doesn't write the Endeavour stories he is still involved as an advisor. He's also a bit like Alfred Hitchcock was in that he makes very brief appearances in the episodes (non-speaking) so it adds a bit of fun for devotees to see if they can spot him. I've also met Colin Dexter at a book signing and was able to have a brief chat with him.
Thanks Summer, I'll have a 99
With two flakes please Sweet
At this time that sports/music festival very very close to where I live has been going on for about 3 hours. There's no mass parking in my road and the sound is not noticeable unless I listen out for it. It's far too early to say, and I suspect the real test won't be until this evening, but the festval organisers saying this is Gloucester's equivalent to Glastonbury seem a bit of an exaggeration at this time. And so far there has been no point in trying out those headphones.
That's good news El lets hope it stops reasonably quiet
It may be good news for me, but not such good news for the organisers - numbers of 50,000 seem to be a bit unlikely. There are other things going on such as the Ladies final which could be why the numbers seem low at present but of course that won't be the case by this evening.
I'm glad you haven't had hoards of people parking near you, El. Although. it's a shame for the organisers if it hasn't been well attended.
I love Endeavour and hope it continues for a few more series. I loved Morse too.
An ice cream would be great thanks, Summer. It has been sunny this afternoon, with a bit of a breeze.
I hope it doesn't get too crowded and noisy tonight EL.
BB related I actually warmed to Dexter last night, when he went down those steps to enter the diary room I must admit I was a bit . He's not quite the hard boiled guy he makes out is he?

Evening Summer. It was a lovely sunny day up here, too. There was a breeze, so it didn't get too hot.
