Yogi, bad night and my shoulder's not great.

Good morning everyone.  I am trying several, the one I have liked best so far is Oatibix flakes with fruit.  I went on the Ocado website and you should see the comments on there about Special K peach and apricot, everyone is horrified at the change nobody likes the taste and also they said, which I hadn't noticed until now, that they are now coating the flakes with sugar So what with keeping my eye on the fibre content and also the sugar content as you can imagine my head is reeling.  What are the Rice Krispies like?

I'm sorry you've had a bad night. I hope your painkillers and anti-inflammatories kick in soon.

El, I hope you are able to rest today, perhaps if you can get the swelling down then the pain will begin to ease. I should imagine night time was very uncomfortable, you poor thing Squiggle I think the Special K sales will absolutely plummet, and I think they're disgraceful for making such drastic and unhealthy changes! I'm glad that you're finding some cereals that you do like I've taken my car in to the garage for a minor repair this morning, so I'm now stuck in the house for the day.. I'm going to blitz my house work while I can!

So sorry to hear you had a bad night EL, it's such a painful place to be injured, I hope it gradually gets better.  Does the doc recommend taking the tablets every 4 hours?  I have heard it's better to do that than try to get away with taking as few as possible because the cumulative effect deals with the pain better.

 

Good idea Summer, if we get good weather next week it will be nice to have the housework all up to date.

Rice Krispies are okay (apart from the snap, crackle pop noises) and no digestive system upsets.

You might as well catch up on the housework when you can't get out and about. Hope the car repair is an inexpensive one.

Thanks yogi, I'm pleased to report that the downstairs of my house looks lovely again I don't want to get up now I've sat down though lol The car job shouldn't be too expensive, the same thing went wrong last year and I think it was about £30 to fix. It's a common fault apparently, but I'm grateful it's not a biggie! I was planning a hospital visit tonight but 2 cousins are going so I don't need to, which has freed me up for a relaxing evening and the possibility of convincing mr summer to let me take his place visiting on either Friday or Saturday Is everyone enjoying the day?

Moonie, it's forecast to get to 28 on Monday in my area so 33 towards the east of England is quite possible - Heathrow seems to get the hottest weather. I think it's highly unlikely that we will get the scorching temperatures that the South West of the States had last weekend. At least I hope not as those were killing temperatures.

 

I'm trying not to move my left shoulder more than I have to but at least the painkillers are making it bearable today.

We certainly dont want the States temperatures El. Just a 'normal' British summer. A lot of sun and a little rain. Oh, for the 'old days' 

 

Pleased the painkillers are keep life bearable for you. Lets hope it clears up sooner rather than later 

 

In some of the desert parts of Arizona the temperature got to 54C. Hottest ever recorded in the UK 38.5C at Faversham in Kent in 2003. Previous record was 37.1C in 1990 at Cheltenham which is only a few miles away from me.

Those temperatures in Arizona are surely hot enough to kill anyone attempting to walk through them?  I hope it's not too hot for you next week EL.

Summer, I'm glad the cousins are helping with the hospital visits, it will ease the pressure on you and Mr Summer.

El, I was wondering if you could sleep in a more upright position to ease the pressure on your shoulder - perhaps propped up with lots of pillows?
