Summer, I hope you have fully recovered from your chili mishap. Many many years ago my mother decided to cook some rice - she'd never done it before. She hadn't realised that rice absorbs the water and expands. She put in far too much rice in the water and the result was that the rice overflowed from the pan.

Good morning everyone, Summer I did have to laugh at your hot bot story.  I'm glad the dinner was delicious when you finally got it.  EL that story about your mum and the rice I can identify with, it is a shock when you start cooking rice how it expands.

Well done on spotting the Seattle mugs, Squiggle.

Mr Yogi is not a happy bunny. While we were out, someone has bumped his car while it was in the car park. The bump is above the driver's side wheel arch and has been caused by a shopping trolley. His face looks like this atm

Birthday in the family today, so visitors will be arriving during the afternoon and evening. Hope to be around later tonight.

Yogi, I don't blame Mr Yogi for being livid. The culprit must have known and could have had the courtesy to leave a note on the windscreen at the very least. Years ago when I came out of church on Sunday back to my car in the church car park I discovered that someone had scratched my car all along the side. The scratch was at the same distance all the way along and looked as if it had been done by the horizontal metal trim you used to see on some older cars. At the time I was the church treasurer and was the last person to leave so whoever had done it had scarpered.

It's so annoying, El, especially when you know the person must be aware that they damaged your vehicle.

Squiggle, the sunny morning has gone here and it's just as cloudy here as where you are. It's forecast to be quite a cloudy week with some rain at times but sunny and warm by Saturday and we may be getting some real summer weather.
