My broadband went off again after my posting here yesterday, but has just come back (but for how long?)

Joyron, I hope your broadbands are sorted out for good next Wednesday. My installation is next Tuesday. Because I'm keepting my phone number (it's not 424626, but it has a similar pattern so people tend to remember it), that gets transferred later on the 22nd, so for a few days I'll be paying BT, Orange and Virgin, but its worth it to keep the number.

Have a great day everyone

Afternoon everyone.  Page 2 again!!  The sun did come out this morning so it was a better day that I thought it would be.

The HMs are getting ready for the BB funeral and it certainly appears as though BB has died over these past weeks, so a funeral is very appropriate.

Will try and get back later.  If not I won't be about all day tomorrow as hubby and  I are off to meet up and have lunch with No.2 son.  Then we need to finish off shopping for clothes hubby needs for this holiday.  I'm all finished with my shopping, unless I can find a nice "comfy" pair of sandals to wear in the evenings.  Probably won't find anything as I have very wide feet and don't like anything too strappy (fussy aren't I)?

Emergency mid afternoon bump.

Having just returned from a brief walk, there was a knock on the door a minute later. And there was a huge box of tax books for me being delivered. Isn't that exciting  - I'm sure you will be thrilled to bits by this news. So excited that I thought I would post this video clip called "Watching Paint Dry"  so that you can calm down after this excitement

Although not the most interesting clip I've ever posted, there is some point in this compared to some other clips which run for 10 minutes and just show a plain painted wall drying -(well I assume so because I wasn't going to waste 10 minutes watching nothing)

I suppose I could have posted Derek Jarman's film "Blue" with the sound turned off. The only visual throughout the full length film is a plain blue screen, and must be unique in being the only film which when it received its' television premiere on C4 was premiered on the radio at the same time.

Now I must somehow get the enthusiasm to open the box of tax books, but it may take me a few days to get desparate enough.

I don't envy what you have to do El Loro, however it's obviously something you are very good at.
Thanks   I hope I'm good at what I do, otherwise one of these days I will get sued big time for giving rubbish advice which is why I have to be careful. And that applies to advice I give for free, i don't have to be paid for advice.

I knew someone who was sued for a million pounds for advice he had given for free. Although he couldn't be sued for breach of contract (a contract requires financial consideration to be valid), he was sued for tort which does not require financial consideration. Of course, the person being sued would have to be seen as someone who could be reasonably regarded by "the man in the Clapham omnibus" (= a member of the public) as suitable for giving that advice. As an accountant, I could hardly be regarded as suitable for giving advice on surgical procedures for instance.

Good morning bump On page 2 overnight, though with the final final final of BB tonight, could be on page 20 by tomorrow morning

I've just opened my new bag of medication which I got from the normally reliable Boots and have found that the one that needed today is missing .. So I am going to have to try and get an emergency prescription from the doctors as soon as they open.

See you later hopefully

Yogi. it's sorted

I popped into the doctors, they checked on their computer and confrimed that it was the doctor who had missed out the medication rather than the pharmacy. So they gave me another prescription for just that medication, I popped round to the local Lloyds pharmacy - as it was early they only took a few minutes. If it had been Boots who had missed it out, I would have had to gone to them and tried to convince them, and that would have taken me a lot longer.

I'll pop in from time to time over the weekend, just to make sure that the world hasn't come to an end with the end of BB.

squiggle, actually my brother is younger than me by 21 months. I've just found out that the Merr part of El Merro is Spanish for listen. Actually that's quite appropriate for him as when he is in company he tends not to join in with conversations but will listen to them, whereas I'm more of a chatterbox.

And any second now, he'll be here.
