Good morning Sciatica is awful, very painful I hope the anti-inflammatories do their job quickly moonie Tiger balm definitely helps that, I used it when I had a bout of sciatica after shovelling snow one year Sorry I didn't get back yesterday, when I got home I just had to get on with some housework because we're so behind on everything! Then I just flopped in to my fresh bed and knew nothing more until now Squiggle, that's so frustrating about your breakfast cereal, I do wish they wouldn't change things like that I hope you can soon find another that you like and suits you well. I'm currently eating tesco's own Blueberry Wheats, they're delicious
~Sparkling Summer~

Good morning everyone

Cloudy here but expected to brighten up. Dry today but goes downhill tomorrow.

Squiggle, Kellogg's has been criticised for changing the Special K recipe. 11% less salt and 40% less saturated fat but 80% more fibre by using whole grain and the addition of barley.

I don't know if this is the same as Special K but might be worth checking out:

Moonie, I hope your back is better this morning.

El Loro

Good morning everyone. The sun is shining, today.

Summer and Moonie, thank you for the owls, they are gorgeous.

I hope your back is less painful today, Moonie.

Summer, how is your MiL?

El, an 80% increase in fibre is an awful lot, I can understand why there have been complaints. I assume the change is in all of their Special K products? If so, then like Squiggle, I will need to avoid them.

Have a good day everyone.

Thanks EL, that's the one I am trying.  It is arriving this morning so I hope it will be good otherwise I shall be on the prowl for a low fibre one.  I have diverticulosis and you have to watch your fibre intake like a hawk.  I am shocked really shocked that they would increase their fibre content by 80% without thinking of the consequences for their customers.  Sadly it is right across the Special K range and they are intending it to remain permanent, I spoke to them.  Even my grandsons have loved that cereal, it's naturally sweet from the dried fruit in it but healthily so.  Now it tastes awful.

The excuse about falling through a train door and landing on a seat was priceless

It looks to be a nice day here, hope you manage to enjoy some sunshine everyone.

I see the recipe is a closely guarded secret I don't think too many will be rushing to steal it.  If I had wanted a cereal which tasted like All Bran I would buy All Bran, simple.  They say in that article too that it is lower fat, it was only 2% fat before which is one of the reasons I was buying it.

Fanks for that beautiful skateboarding owl Sweet. Loves it  I hope your MIL is still on the mend and that Mr Summer is completely better too

It may take a few days for the anti-inflammatories to kick in.

We have sunshine here, too.

Glad you have sun too

Moonie

The new disorganised client rang me first thing to say not to do any work as she forgot to tell me when we met that she was waiting to hear back from another accountant with an alternative fee quote. I hadn't started work. Of course she is entitled to look for other quotes but it's a sign as to just how disorganised she is.

I can't believe she has waited until now to inform you that she was getting another quote. Disorganised is an understatement, El.

Or maybe she is spinning you a yarn El to maybe get you to drop your quote? Or is that just me with a devious mind?

Oooh, that hadn't crossed my mind, but you could be right, Moonie.

Then again she might just be a complete scatterbrain.

Which do you think it is, El?

Ooh er you could be right.

From the way that client was talking I don't think she was spinning me a yarn. The person who was doing it before me was a friend of hers and was doing it for free so it's awkward as the client has nothing to compare the level of fees. If she does find someone cheaper then so be it. The fee I've quoted is such that there would be no point in doing it for less.

I'm sure you have quoted her a fair price for the work involved.

He's still on my "like list" atm.

I may have had a bang on the head because (after watching last night's HLs) I kinda hope that Gina and Dexter stay on Friday. I think there may be other sides to them which we haven't yet seen. On the other hand, I have seen more than enough of Sallie and I don't like any of it, so I hope she goes.

I think previous experience has made us more cynical of "sob story/going on a journey" HMs, but last night I felt Daley's distress was genuine. Although, I'm not sure that I completely understood the crux of what was troubling him as he seemed vague on detail.
