Good morning everyone, we have had a right old drenching here and plenty more in the forecast.  Oh well, everything is looking very green so there is a benefit there I suppose.  Yogi hope you manage to get your lawn cut.  The fruity owl is very special, I could just fancy one of those bananas   The expression on the face of the dog and the baby is priceless

Quite a few of the comments made there though are in support of the ban.

I can't see how the socks are a trip hazard but I also think they aren't really appropriate as part of a school uniform. They look more like socks which should be worn with a party dress, imo.

I'm not really into frilly clothes - maybe that's due to 30 years of raising boys!

I used to wear frilly socks at school Cute pics squiggle, I don't know where you find them but you always make me smile I was still in bed this morning, I should have been out walking the dog but didn't want to get up, she's at home with mr summer today so he's going either attempt to take her out or SIL will come walk her later. I'm going straight to visit MIL after work. Mr summer is still not good but made a significant improvement

Did your frilly socks ever make you trip over, Summer?

I'm glad Mr Summer is on the mend. These gastric bugs can really knock you for six, so I hope he takes it easy until he's fully recovered.

I hope you find your MiL in good spirits.

Pink bundle cuddles are really special.

Are you off to the shops, Moonie?

I managed to get the front lawn cut and strimmed.

Weeding the borders can wait until the next dry day.

I bought sweet chilli noodles and some sushi, would you like some?

To your friend, that's quite a challenge she's doing.

Pleased to hear Mr Summer is feeling well enough to walk Bramble

And, that's brilliant news of your friends intention to do the walk. Best of luck to her

Fankoo and that downpour turned into a thunderstorm

Now we have sunshine

Moonie

Summer, I hope your friend succeeds in the challenge

Many years ago I was told by one of the partners of the firm that I used to work for that his father had climbed quite a lot of the Munros (Scottish hills over 3000 ft but not classified as mountains)(he would have done it over the years not at one go). However he is not listed in the official list of Munroists but it is likely that he did it before the list was created.

Lowest score in 30 years in first class cricket in this country and the worst ever for Essex.

I know nothing about cricket, but I guess it must be a bad score if it's the lowest score in 30 years!

All out for 20 is exceptionally bad in first class cricket. Under 100 is bad.

Is that 20 "runs"?

In that case, the score is terrible.
