As you will no doubt have already guessed EL, the gift which was presented to the Queen during her Coronation and which was described as the most valuable thing this world affords was a copy of The Bible.  Evidently she still treasures this gift in her private life.  I found this moving and underlines how much her personal faith has helped her carry out her duty over the last 60 years.

Evening all. I've had a very relaxing day. I did a few housework chores in the morning, then spent the afternoon reading. I had hoped to sit outside on my swing but my neighbours are having a family get together so it was a bit noisy outside. I hope you've all had a good day.

I was far to young to remember anything of the coronation. My parents watched it on their television along with the neighbours as they didn't have television sets. My father claimed to be the first person in Gloucester to have a television set though I tend to put that claim in the same category as my uncle who claimed to be the last person to escape from Singapore when it was invaded in WW2.

If my day had been any more relaxed I would have slept. Wait a moment, I did for a while  Did bits and dads in the garden but it was harder to get there than what I did

lol Moonie, they weren't too bad, just music and chatter, but it wasn't exactly the peaceful time I had envisaged with my book.

Up here, I think the good weather has to break down on Tuesday/Wednesday.
