There's a new sitcom starting on BBC4 tonight at 8.30 called Up the Women. It's set in the suffragette movement. It may be worth watching. It seems to be closer in feel to the more traditional type of British sit coms. Radio Times indicates that the series improves after the first which sets the scene and the characters.

Did you know that there's a secret button at pedestrian crossings - it's to help blind people to know when the green man is shown for sighted people.

I've just returned from my morning meeting. I was collecting the records (4 archive boxes) for the largest job I do. I'm doing it several months earlier than in previous years. The client isn't quite ready yet so I will need to return sometime next week to collect the data CD with all the account transations on.

 

Squiggle, I've now had a chance to watch your video though the beagles rescued are now able to be what they should be. It's an American video posted in November 2011.

 

The EU has had bans on animal testing for cosmetics from 2009 and as from this March the ban has now been extended to cover all cosmetics and their ingredients sold throughout the EU regardless of where the animal testing had taken place.

We are making steps forward in the EU regarding animal testing in the cosmetic industry but countries like China insist on animal testing on cosmetics sold in their country. Companies like L'Occitane had to remove the cruelty free bunny logo from their products once they started selling in China. Even though L'Occitane products are manufactured without animal testing, the Chinese conduct their own animal testing on the products before selling them on.

That's good news el I refuse to buy animal tested products!

Eldest son and Dil will be arriving soon, with my little pink bundle, so I won't be around until later tonight.

Hows thing with you?

I'm back from my second client meeting today.

 

I had started work on the accounts for a new client. I was not at all happy with what I saw. So I left a message on her phone saying that I did not find what she was doing was acceptable, did not like it when people tried it on with me and sacked her. I did a letter, put it through her door. When I got back from the meeting she had left a message on my phone saying that I was incredibly rude and unprofessional and demanding the instant return of her records. I've returned them.

I can't go into details here but she was trying to claim what are very definitely personal expenses as business expenses, made worse by the business being operated as a limited company rather than as a self employed person, and expecting me to go along with it.

I wouldn't expect you too El  But from what you have sad you are better off without such a person as a client 

Well done El she sounds like a very shady character and best not associated with and too bad if she thinks you rude, which I'm sure you weren't anyway. I have on the odd occasion binned off some customers for being inappropriate towards me, and I don't have any regrets about it! Things are good with me today fanks moonie how about you?
