I think something scared them off - now and then we have had a sparrow hawk in the area, and we've had some magpies, which have been known to raid their nests.

I'm sure you are right about the maternal instincts.

What have you been up to?

baby starling? What's happened there then?

Sounds like a good weekend to me

I haven't done much. I woke up with runny eyes this morning. I think a touch of hayfever so even though it was sunny all day I never went out

Sorry Moonie, I've got to run but the starling saga is on the previous page.

Okay. I will go see

Nitey nite. Try not to throttle your son

Yogi that's sad about the little bird well done for trying to help him, if only we could talk to them to explain that we're trying to help! Moonie I hope your hayfever symptoms have eased off it's a horrid thing I too believe there's an asthma/hayfever/allergy/eczema link, I've suffered them all at various stages of my life! I was asthmatic as a child but grew out of it, then started getting hayfever and skin problems, which were pretty much cured when I went for food allergy testing, and now I'm mostly ok but get the occasional burst of eczema if I eat too much of the foods that I'm not supposed to. Healthy eating usually helps clear that up I'm late in because after an afternoon nap, housework and a workout, we decided to go out for tea. Then we decided to get SIL & BIL to join us.. It was a lovely evening Sweet dreams all see you tomorrow P.S. el, your maths joke was funny

Love the owls Sweet

I had an afternoon nap too which lasted till 8-30

Moonie

Good morning everyone. It's raining here.

Lovely night owl family, Summer and I'm glad you had a nice evening out.

It's good that you have found out what triggers your eczema and can keep it under control.

Moonie, that was a marathon afternoon nap you had!

My son only stayed for 15 minutes. It turned out he'd been to the cinema with some mates from the village and thought he'd just pop in for a flying visit.

Have a good day everyone and I hope your weather is better than mine.

The cheerful pics from Squiggle and Summer have brightened up a dreary day (weather wise).

Squiggle, I did wonder how much we would see youngest son when he moved out, as he works hard and has a busy social life, and he used to tease his two brothers about how often they still visit us. However, I'm glad to say, he is a regular visitor and has even stayed over a couple of nights when he has had "boys nights out" with his mates from the village.

Mr Yogi jokingly calls them 'the boomerang boys', because they keep coming back  but we wouldn't want it any other way.

Well done on getting your hedge cut, El.  I'm afraid there's no chance of me getting any gardening done today.

Good afternoon Yogi

It was indeed a marathon nap. I paid overnight though. Hardly any sleep, just tossed and turned. I blame Sweet  Bless  Flying visits are good, sometimes

Have a good day. See you later

I sympathise with you on your sleepless night, Moonie.

If you feel like a nap this afternoon, set your alarm clock so you don't sleep so long.

It was my own silly fault Yogi  I should never have napped in the first place. If I feel like a nap today I will go out for a walk
