I nearly throttled Mr Yogi earlier tonight when he attempted to tell me how many coats of paint I should give the bit of skirting board. I won't tell you my reply.

I know what my reply would have been..!"£$%^&* and some 

 Mine went along the lines of, "Do it yourself or shut up!" 

That is the sanitised version.

*night owls* I hope everyone has had a good day Sorry I wasn't around, I'm not even sure how that happened I did have a 2 hour chat with my mum on the phone, she's had food poisoning since returning home from holiday. She sounds a little better today, I think she may well be on the mend Squiggle that's rotten about how your grandson has been treated, I hope this visit will turn things in a more productive direction. I think that you've handled it in the right way though, well done you Yogi, I had visions of you resting out the new carpet by throwing mr yogi down the stairs..! I hope the room looks as wonderful as you'd hoped and for the record, I only use 1 coat of gloss on my skirting boards I'd better sign off, look how sleepy these owl look hugs for fellow night owls and absent friends

Dry at present here but windy. Forecast for later is wet and very windy. Just as well I went to see that client yesterday evening rather than today.

 

When I went to see that client it was raining but not too windy so my brolly didn't blow away. The meeting turned out to be much longer than I had expected so I was starving by the time I got home.

 

Summer, I hope your mum has recovered from the food poisoning.

Good morning everyone, like everyone else it is terribly windy here and I think the rain is on it's way.  Your poor mum Summer, food poisoning is awful, makes you feel so ill.  Yogi I am so pleased that the decorating is nearly there, you deserve a treat when the final skirting board is done.

 

EL I hope you had something lovely to eat after your long meeting.  I hope you don't get blown everyone, nor drenched, have a good day wherever you are and whatever you're up to.

Squiggle, I had chicken sandwiches when I got home and a slice of coffee and walnut cake (by Emma's Country Cakes) which is nice.

That sounds delicious EL, I love chicken sandwiches (and coffee and walnut cake) I bet it tasted wonderful because you were so hungry.

Squiggle, you can get the walnut and coffee cake online from various places but I suspect that by the time it arrived the use by date would be almost immediately and you wouldn't be able to eat large slices safely though you might be able to take one to once of your church groups.

Good morning it's bright and sunny here but the wind is cold. Thanks all, my mum seems to have brightened up a little, her boyfriend is poorly too. What a rubbish end to their holiday. How's your back now squiggle? El, I'm glad you didn't end up at that clients house until midnight!

Hi Summer, I'm glad your mum and her boyfriend are feeling better now but it is a shame that this should happen to spoil their lovely holiday.  My back is so much better now thanks, it's nice to feel normal again.

Been shopping at Morrisons..............wish I had bought some coffee and walnut cake while I was there. I sooooooo want some now.

I can't believe I've had to miss out on all this cake talk today! They all look delicious. I think cake makes any rotten weather seem not so bad
