It's because of Monday being a bank holiday putting you a day out. I had to remind myself yesterday that it was Tuesday, not Monday.

Thanks El, your reply was so much more reassuring than Moonies.

Sorry Moonie, I have no idea.

The level of care is atrocious. Nobody should be left in pain and discomfort for months on end.

It sounds a disgrace to me Squiggle

It is a disgrace, the worst thing is I can tell she has been blackening his name.  Whenever I have been on the phone trying to sort it, people are sympathetic about the letters not arriving until they talk to her and then they come back with an iciness in their voice which says she has been telling the tale of this awful young man who never keeps his appointments.  I tell you if I had had the money I would have taken him into the private section in a flash and I am a great believer in the NHS.

Its a shame because we had a great NHS at one time but I now seems to be on the decline

Moonie

I see that in the last few days there's been a change in Google results. If you were searching for restaurants, shops, businesses in your area on the first results page there used to be a short list of businesses which had place markers on the map. Under the short list there was a link you could click to get more local results. Although the short list of businesses is still shown, there is now a maximum of 7 in the list and there is now no link to more local results.

You can still get more results by clicking on the link shown under the map but that option may get removed in the future.

What Google want you to do is to get you to sign up to Google + (no charge) and to use that in preference to Google for doing local searches.

On Google + there is a Local icon on the bar on the left of the page. If you do a search for local businesses you get far more results.

El Loro

I'm off to see that client and it's raining.

If you haven't looked at the Google site, there's one of their Google doodles. It's to celebrate what would have been Saul Bass's 93rd birthday. He was best known for his opening credits on many films such as some of the Hitchcock films. The Google doodle uses some of these and it's quite clever.

I can't get it to work for me.

That's odd, are you still on the app?  I tried on the Kindle and the link worked fine.

I'm on the browser on the Ipad.

When I click on the "start the test" button, it takes me to a page which says, "online stroop test" and has a couple of links to ads. Nothing happens.

Wooo hooo! thats great news

I still have to gloss a bit of new skirting board, which was postponed because the fitters were supposed to come yesterday and it wouldn't have dried in time.
