Good morning everyone

Here it looks as if it will be another warm sunny day though it's forecast to be cooler and wetter tomorrow onwards.

My brother tends to visit every 6 weeks but as the weekend in 6 weeks coincides with the series of Rick Wakeman concerts in Gloucester (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) he's not coming then. As people will be coming here from around the world on Friday, it is very unlikely that other people will be able to get train tickets to get here. So he's coming here for the last weekend in June.

Good morning everyone. Pleased to say, the sun is shining!

Summer, I will take my future DiL with me on my outfit search and will do as you suggest.

Hopefully, the weather should be nice at the end of June, for your brother's next visit, El.

Squiggle, have you had any more bother recently with the badger (or the dreaded Moley)?

Yogi19

Summer, no I'm not going to any of the Rick Wakeman shows. Since I last looked at the website there have been changes. The concerts were originally going to be at the Rugby Ground on Saturday and Sunday. Now there are 2 concerts on Saturday at Blackfriars in Gloucester. The concerts on Sunday and Monday are now in Cheltenham at the Centaur at the racecourse. They seem to be on a smaller scale than I had originally expected as neither Blackfriars or the Centaur are a lot smaller than the rugby ground. Tickets for the Gloucester ones are sold out and the Cheltenham ones are ÂĢ52 and ÂĢ97.

Ouch that's quite a price tag! It would have to be something I really wanted to see to justify that price I wonder if you'll hear any of it, with sound carrying and all that.. The Lindisfarne gospels are going to be in Durham over the summer, and Mr Summer wants to go so it's likely we will. He says tickets are only about ÂĢ7!

Hi Yogi haven't had a visit from the badger for a week or two but he will be back as evidently he has a certain territory and makes the rounds.  The trouble is last time he was coming every couple of days until his larder was empty, I don't mind filling in every few weeks but every couple of days drives you potty.  As for the mole, well they have mostly moved down the hill to the field at the bottom but I have had one coming back in the last week or so.  What I did about a week ago I cleared away the molehill and wiggled a broom handle around and discovered the tunnel.  So I sorted out a long pipe (used to be for a petrol can) and slowly poured Jeyes Fluid down the pipe hoping to get as far down the tunnel as possible.  That seemed to work for about a week and then yesterday evening I saw another molehill appearing.  So I quietly refilled my jug and went out and poured it really slowly into the centre.  I have visions of poor moley creeping home to the rest of his family ponging something awful   He soon stopped digging so I reckon I shall keep on with this and try to persuade him the field is a much better place to raise a family.

Yay for Jeyes Fluid! Let's hope the smell of it deters Moley and he sets up home elsewhere.

I don't know much about badgers, although I do know they can cause a lot of damage. Does he dig up worms and grubs from your lawn?

He's a devout Christian too

That would explain the link between him and the mystery plays being performed in Gloucester during 2012/13, and why he's being permiited to perform at Blackfriars.

I don't think so, El. We've been trying to contact him since 11am.

Not so good then

Well spotted Yogi, there was. Machel spotted it, we checked it and because it was a spammer thread with links to probably counterfeit Nike products we removed the thread from the forum as we have for similar threads in the past. Lori has been notified and will ban the new user who created the thread with the sole purpose of posting spam.

I think it likely that the spammers just send out spam to random forums and they use computers to do this. So the users we get are not real people, just the ID that the spamming computers have created.

Mr Yogi got hold of the carpet fitter. He is now coming tomorrow.

I'm sure you will make the carpet fitter very welcome when he arrives and once the work is done, let rip at him

It's possible that if they have connection to the websites they've linked in the threads and the websites are selling counterfeit goods they profit out of it. Otherwise it seems a bit pointless.
