Aww thanks El, still feel a bit stupid though...

No need whatsoever to feel stupid Skylark, it's their fault.  I have set up a router from scratch, it is their job to give you full instructions As to having to pull out a piece of plastic from the back to get wifi, it's just idiotic.

Well to be honest i didnt know it was there. I know now!

EL I hope to have some time tomorrow to catch up on that link to Doctors, looking forward to it.

I hope you like it. The episodes are extremely varied in storyline, style and quality but yesterday's episode was one of the best (and has little to do with doctors or patients).

Good morning a chilly start here, turning sunny I hope everyone slept well MIL had 2 funny turns during her hospital check up yesterday, which turned out to be a blessing because they could hook her up to the machines and see exactly what happens when her heart goes funny. They're going to do more tests and try changing her meds but the general prognosis is, it's just her age. She was absolutely fine when we left so we popped into a farm shop on the way home for a bite to eat and some shopping, then I took her home to ours for Bramble to make her smile. After that I walked the dog and finally caught up with my mum on the phone (whilst cleaning the bathroom too) she's had a lovely holiday

Blimey, you have been busy  Hope things turn out well for your MIL

Moonie
Absolutely, because after a funny turn she goes completely back to normal, which is when the doctor usually turns up.. Now they can see exactly what happens. On a lighter note, amid running about picking up her medicines, I overheard a conversation she was having with a nurse that had me in a fit of laughter. It was all about how we're not married but that doesn't matter because she considers me one of the family anyway

And you consider her to be part of your family (as you refer to her as MIL)

I hope Yogi is OK, it's unusual for her not to have popped in at all so far today

Good afternoon everyone. Sorry El, i ought to have popped in first thing, before I got dragged round every lighting store and DIY shop in the vicinity! Mr Yogi was determined we would find lampshades and pictures for the hall and stairs today. After hours of searching, we found the lampshades but now he says they are going to be a right pain to put up! Luckily my sons know a few electricians and one of them will fit them for me. *phew* Didn't get any pics though, because we couldn't agree on any. I'll go by myself to choose some.

Summer, I'm glad your MiL is okay, and it was a good thing the hospital staff could witness her funny turns and check her out. It's nice to know you are considered one of the family.

Hi Moonie, what are you up to today - chilling, I hope?

El, I'll check out the episode of Doctors tonight, when I'm tucked up in bed.

Is everyone going to Skylark's for dinner tonight? I hear she's a good cooker.

Your granddaughter is a wee gem, Skylark.

Squiggle, I hope your back is back to normal now.

Might not get back on till evening, see you later..

Hiya Yogi

Yep, chilling in the lovely weather we have here  I mowed the back lawns this afternoon. It used to take me 45 mins now it 4 to 5 hours  Mind you the first mowing of the season is always the worst, I hope

See you later

Moonie

Moonie, by coincidence I cut my lawn this afternoon as well. Third time this season. It's only a small lawn so less than half an hour including getting the mower out of the shed and putting it back. I used to mow my parents' lawns when they were alive. The front lawn was twice the size of my own lawn. The lawn at the back was twice the size of the front. I reckoned on allowing a couple of hours for the two.

You are right, the first mowing of the season is generally the worst.

Hi El

I shattered now  And I still have to do the edging but that will have to wait  We still have blue skies and its even moderately warm too

Moonie

Well done on getting your lawns cut, El and Moonie. We haven't even managed to get the first cut done yet!

Decorating is a nightmare, I hate it!   I can't wait until it is all finished.

lol El, I think 350 miles might be a bit far for the electrician to come to fit the new lights.

Tired out and heading for bed. Goodnight everyone, sleep well.

Hugs for any night owls.

Good morning everyone, grey skies here and chilly but it was so glorious yesterday that I don't mind.

Well done on getting the grass cut EL and moonie, and Yogi it will be worth it, I'm the same I hate the mess and upheaval but when it's done you will forget about all the bother and it will look wonderful.  I hope the weather brightens in Scotland and that everyone has a great day

At the rate we are going, I may have throttled Mr Yogi before it's finished.

To Skylark's son for cleaning his bedroom.

Teabreak over, it's back to the decorating. See you later.
